Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are calling for a special counsel to investigate President Trump’s alleged ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, in a report released Monday.

Democrats claimed that out of the 11 women who have tied Trump to Epstein’s crimes of sexual abuse and exploitation, five of them have “directly accused Trump of raping or sexually assaulting them in Epstein’s company or direct physical presence.”

It goes further to note that Trump has denied any ties to Epstein’s operations and alleges Attorney General Todd Blanche is covering up “further evidence that directly implicates Trump.”

“Instead of pursuing justice for Epstein’s survivors, former Attorney General Pam Bondi and Attorney General Blanche have been running DOJ like a private legal defense firm for their former client,” the report says. “Determined to protect the President at any cost, DOJ itself now leads the cover-up of Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. Todd Blanche has gone from being Donald Trump’s personal attorney to his personal Attorney General.”

Democrats said in the report that a special counsel is needed to investigate not only Trump’s ties to Epstein, but also all of Epstein’s co-conspirators and to hold the individuals accountable in criminal proceedings.

“Donald Trump says he knew Jeffrey Epstein ‘just like everybody in Palm Beach knew him.’ Not exactly. Evidence involving 11 women tells a completely different and far more damning story about their relationship and the abuse of young women and girls that took place in their network,” House Judiciary Committee ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said in a statement.

Bondi testified before the House Judiciary Committee on the Epstein files in February. During that hearing, she argued that “there is no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime.”

Democrats also made a point then of noting how many times Trump’s name appears in the files, particularly after FBI Director Kash Patel previously asserted it was fewer than 1,000.

Trump has previously sought to distance himself from Epstein, arguing he was not “friendly” with him, and that he’s never been to Epstein’s private island or been on Epstein’s plane. He even said at one point that he turned down an offer to go to Epstein’s island.

Lauren Bis, a White House spokesperson, told The Hill that “none of these allegations” in the report are true.

“This ‘report’ is nothing more than a desperate attempt by crazed Democrats to distract Americans from the surging Republican momentum driven by President Trump’s historic achievements. The President kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club at Mar-a-Lago because he was a creep, and he has been fully exonerated of anything related to Epstein,” she said.
