Trump bashes Greene, Massie after meeting with Tucker Carlson

President Trump hit back again on Friday evening at GOP criticism of his administration’s decision to lift certain tariffs on imported ground beef.

The president expressed anger over a meeting between conservative podcaster Tucker Carlson and two Republicans that have critiqued this new policy, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R).

The president called the former Fox News host “a loser,” Greene “a highly neurotic woman” and Massie a “real JERK” in a Truth Social post.

“What a team this would be, THREE LOSERS, and a pocketful of change!” he wrote. “The only chance they have is to join the Radical Left Dumocrats, and try breaking into the Primary System. To all of them I say, PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!”

Massie and Greene both challenged the president’s decision on Friday to permit up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef to be imported without an “out-of-quota tariff” in the next 90 days.

This product would be sold at 25 percent below market price in an effort to bring down grocery costs and allow time for the U.S. cattle herd to “grow again,” according to the president.

Massie slammed the move as “worse than socialism” in a social media post .

“Dumping foreign beef in U.S. markets can temporarily lower prices but it won’t incentivize American farmers to raise more beef,” Massie wrote, calling the decision a “slap in the face to American cattlemen & consumers.”

Other GOP lawmakers joined in, with Montana Sen. Tim Sheehy (R) saying he has personally pressed the administration against this move.

“I’ve advised President Trump against this course of action for a year because American ranchers have been struggling against the packer monopoly for decades, and this will further harm them – most of whom are MAGA Republicans,” Sheehy wrote on social media Friday.

Florida Rep. Kat Cammack (R), a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, expressed her support for ranchers and urged U.S. consumers to “buy American!” in a Saturday social media post .

Greene responded to Trump’s new insults in a lengthy post shared on the social platform X on Saturday morning, suggesting the president’s frustration really stemmed from unfavorable approval ratings.

“He attacks us with such vitriol because we actually are everything he claimed to be, conservative and America First, and he has proven as President that he is nothing more than a neocon puppet for Israel, corporations, big donors with special interests, and his dear friends in the Epstein class,” Greene wrote, adding, “We never changed, Trump did.”

The former GOP lawmaker, who was previously a staunch advocate for the president and his “Make America Great Again” movement, has become one of the most outspoken critics of the president over the past year.

“In the past, I supported him because of the policies he professed to support and passionately campaigned on, but now as president he’s been revealed to be the Trojan horse who enforces many of the policies he claimed to be against,” Greene wrote. “I’m sorry I didn’t see it earlier and wish I had never supported him.”
