Watch live: Trump makes final pitch to Texas voters

President Trump is returning to Texas Tuesday as Republicans look to shore up support with just a week until the midterm elections.

Trump is expected to rally supporters in Corpus Christi as he hopes to boost Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), who is facing Democrat James Talarico in a competitive Senate race. Decision Desk HQ’s polling average shows Talarico with the advantage.

The president is also scheduled to travel to Lubbock later Tuesday for another rally. Talarico will be in the same city, holding a competing campaign event just a few miles away.

The Corpus Christi event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. EDT.
