Vice President Vance is headed to Alaska for a midterm rally against the backdrop of the red state’s highly competitive Senate race.

The Trump 47 Committee, a joint fundraising group connected to President Trump’s Save America PAC and the Republican National Committee (RNC), will host the Monday rally in Fairbanks, the RNC announced Friday.

With a little more than a month until Election Day, Trump and Vance are blitzing through red states — raising eyebrows as the midterm outlook looks increasingly bleak for the GOP.

The president is headed to Nebraska on Monday after stops in Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama this week. Vance was in Kansas last month and stumped this week in Florida.

Asked Wednesday whether the red state tour signals trouble for the GOP, Trump did not answer directly .

“We have the best economy anywhere in the world,” he said. “There’s no economy like this economy. The only thing we don’t have is good public relations. We don’t seem to be able to get the word across.”

In Alaska, Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan is in a neck and neck race with Democrat Mary Peltola, who lost the state’s at-large House seat to Republican Rep. Nick Begich in 2024. Her moderate, Alaska-first bid has fueled Democrats’ hopes of flipping the seat in a state that’s sided with Trump in each of his three presidential races.

The Hill has reached out to Sullivan’s campaign for comment.

Alaska has elected a Democrat to the Senate just once in the last 50 years, but the Cook Political Report rates this year’s race as a toss-up. Decision Desk HQ gives Peltola a 60 percent chance of flipping the seat.
