Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to appear on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday morning following President Trump’s Friday announcement of a deal to lift sanctions on Russian diesel, which sparked a war of words between the U.S. and Ukraine presidents.
The move, allowing the Kremlin to supply 300,000 tons of diesel to the U.S. and the global marketplace, has also been met with backlash from lawmakers on both side of the aisle.
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, meanwhile, is set for interviews on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” CNN’s “State of the Union” and “Fox News Sunday” after earlier this week a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer shot a man in New York City. Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) denounced the shooting, saying there was “no explanation” for it.
Trump on Sunday is planning to head to his golf club in Sterling, Va., for a MAGA Inc. fundraising lunch, as the president seeks to bolster his war chest ahead of a potentially tough midterms for Republicans.
