Vice President Vance will give remarks Thursday on the Trump administration’s effort to rebuild the U.S. manufacturing workforce through the launch of a new training program as part of President Trump’s focus on domestic production .
The Foundry School, a project of the State Department’s Pax Silica initiative, will train entrepreneurs, engineers, technicians and industrial leaders for jobs in advanced manufacturing, including semiconductors, defense and energy, according to the State Department.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also expected to speak.
The event at the Institute of Peace is scheduled to begin at 8:20 a.m. EDT.
