A House Oversight panel will hold a hearing Tuesday morning examining birth tourism, months after the Supreme Court dealt a blow to President Trump’s efforts to restrict birthright citizenship.

Lawmakers will examine companies accused of marketing maternity services to foreign women seeking to give birth in the U.S., as well as concerns raised by Republicans over the practice’s potential national security implications , according to the press release .

The hearing comes as the Trump administration weighs further restrictions, including an executive order signed by the president last month as part of a broader push to tighten immigration rules.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
