House Democratic leaders will give remarks Tuesday as lawmakers face a packed week of legislative business, with the war with Iran , affordability concerns and the looming government shutdown among the issues expected to take center stage.

The remarks come as Congress also races to fund the government before the Sept. 30 deadline. The Senate-passed continuing resolution would extend funding through Dec. 11. They could also discuss legislation targeting Russia, after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) raised concerns Monday about a Senate-backed sanctions bill and its potential impact.

The press conference is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. EDT.
