Watch live: Trump takes campaign blitz to Georgia

President Trump heads to Georgia Friday afternoon as Republicans look to gain ground in a closely watched Senate race with less than three weeks until the midterms.

Trump is expected to rally support for Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.), who is challenging incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff (D). The president will also appear alongside Republican gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson, who is facing former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D).

The visit comes after Collins and Ossoff clashed in a heated debate Tuesday over Trump’s policies, the economy and the Iran war. The Democrat has maintained a narrow lead in recent polls , adding pressure on the GOP as early voting is already underway in the Peach State.

The event in Dalton, Ga., is scheduled to begin at 2:45 p.m. EDT.
