White House rips Rosie O’Donnell for Trump, Harp jokes: She’s ‘a total slob’

The White House responded Thursday to comments made by comedian Rosie O’Donnell while hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” concerning President Trump and his administration.

Davis Ingle, a representative for the White House, said in a statement to news outlets that “Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

O’Donnell hosted the program for three days where she made nods in her opening monologues to the president, referring to him as “orange Voldemort” in her final broadcast Thursday before performing a song.

“Poor Donny boy, your polls, your polls are falling. Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew. Your wig’s a mess, your ballroom is appalling, and with Iran you bit off more than you can chew,” she sang.

She finished the song by calling for Trump to resign and “make this country great again.”

The jabs add to the contentious relationship O’Donnell and Trump have had in the past few years as O’Donnell moved to Ireland last year to escape the president’s second administration.

She has remained an open critic to Trump’s leadership style and agenda while the president has poked fun at her appearance and IQ.

“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,” Trump wrote in a social media post last year .

O’Donnell also chimed into an ongoing conversation about the proximity between Trump and longtime White House aide Natalie Harp.

“It’s time to hang up your wig and let Natalie tuck you in,” she said during Wednesday’s show.

Harp has been in the center of media headlines since Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) slammed her during a campaign speech Sunday .

Several Trump administration officials have come to Harp’s defense, including the president’s son Eric Trump, who called Ossoff’s comments “ absolute trash .”
