Live results: Moulton vies to unseat Markey in Massachusetts Senate primary

Sen. Ed Markey and Rep. Seth Moulton are duking it out for the Democratic nod in the Massachusetts Senate race.

Moulton has made the race about generational change, arguing it’s time for “a new generation of leadership.” Markey has held the seat since 2013 and has served in Congress for a total of five decades.

Markey is backed by progressive powerhouses, including Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), while Moulton has notched support from New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D), among others.

John Deaton, who was the 2024 Senate Republican nominee, will take on the winner of Tuesday’s primary. The seat is almost certainly to remain in Democrats’ hands in November.
