The main aim at the time was to pay off his medical bills so his family could survive peacefully. The funding page provided details about the musician's condition, including multiple tumours in his liver. Since one tumour was near a major blood vessel, doctors couldn't perform any operations at that time. He had also been admitted to the ICU around seven times for multiple reasons and had some complications because of his disease. His wife, Sheila O’Keefe, took on the caregiver’s role and quit her job to be there for her partner constantly.Seymour also wrote, “For a working musician, that’s devastating—not only because performing is what he loves, but because touring is his primary source of income. Like most working musicians, Richard is being overwhelmed by crushing medical expenses and the ongoing costs of simply getting through each month while he is unable to work.”Who is Richard Lloyd?Richard Lloyd was born on October 25, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was raised largely in New York City.
