Lori Loughlin files for divorce from husband Mossimo Giannulli

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are officially going their separate ways.

The " Full House " alum, 62, filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 30 years on Friday, Sept. 4, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY. Loughlin cited irreconcilable differences and listed their date of separation as Aug. 31, 2025.

She also revealed she and Giannulli have a prenuptial agreement regarding separate and community property, and indicated they will determine the issue of spousal support at a later date.

The former couple have been married since November 1997 and share daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli , 26, and Isabella Rose Giannulli , 27. In October, the actress' publicist confirmed to USA TODAY that she and the fashion designer were living separately , but no legal action had been taken at the time.

The divorce comes seven years after Loughlin and Giannulli were charged in the infamous Varsity Blues college admissions scandal in 2019. The parents later admitted to paying half a million dollars to get both their daughters into the University of Southern California as crew recruits despite neither child having played the sport.

Loughlin ultimately pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, while Giannulli pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud. She served two months in prison in late 2020, and he served a five-month sentence from November 2020 until being released on home confinement in April 2021.

After news of the pair's separation broke last year, Loughlin's former "Full House" costar John Stamos slammed Giannulli in an interview on Josh Peck's " Good Guys " podcast, alleging Giannulli was responsible for getting Loughlin involved in legal trouble.

"She's not a liar. She's a saint," Stamos said, adding, "She didn't deserve to be dragged through that. I know for a fact it was all him."

The couple welcomed a son in 2025.

When the scandal became public in 2019, Loughlin was fired by Hallmark and largely remained out of the spotlight. She made her return to acting in 2021 when she reprised her role from "When Calls the Heart " in its spinoff series, "When Hope Calls."

In December, Hallmark announced that Loughlin would return to "When Calls the Heart." She recently came back to social media as well with a joint Instagram post on Aug. 31, alongside five of her former "Full House" costars: Dave Coulier , Andrea Barber , Candace Cameron Bure , Jodie Sweetin and John Stamos .
