Are you ready to celebrate the year's top music videos? Tonight, music's biggest, brightest and most promising artists are gathering at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. From fit checks to performances to culture-shaping confrontations, the VMAs have consistently been the site for some of pop culture's most noteworthy moments. This year's awards show, hosted by Snoop Dogg, is expected to be one for the books. Three of pop music's most influential names will be celebrated for their remarkable contributions to the genre — and industry — they helped define: Madonna, the Queen of Pop, will return to the VMAs main stage for the first time in over two decades; "Patient Zero" pop star Taylor Swift will make history as the first-ever recipient of the Artist Director Honors; and late, beloved singer George Michael will be honored during a star-studded performance.Kacey Musgraves is also set to take the stage for a special tribute to Dolly Parton.
