Four minor girls drown in East Champaran pond

Motihari: Four minor girls drowned in a pond at Bankat village under the Pahadpur police station area in East Champaran district on Friday morning while bathing with their mothers during the Jitiya festival.According to Basmati Devi, a woman from Bankat village, around nine women and girls from the village went to the pond to bathe in the morning. While bathing, four minor girls drifted into the deeper part of the pond and drowned.
