Charles Reportedly ‘Furious’ at Harry for Not 1, But 2 ‘Extremely Disappointing’ Moves

Prince Harry reportedly angered his father, King Charles, by informing British security officials of his UK return before telling his family.

Charles is frustrated by the lack of communication and fears that Harry and Meghan’s potential documentary deal with the BBC could further strain their relationship.

The King is concerned about the impact of Harry and Meghan’s return on the Royal Family’s public image and wants to maintain a positive relationship with his son and grandchildren.

Prince Harry 's surprise UK move has reportedly angered several family members. According to RadarOnline , Harry's father, King Charles , is "furious" after learning that the Duke of Sussex allegedly informed British security officials of his return first.

Harry apparently reached out to the Home Office in early August to get a head start on security for himself, Meghan Markle , and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, five. Charles learned of their move a few days later.

"The King understands perfectly well why the appropriate authorities needed advance warning, particularly given Harry's long-running concerns about security," a royal source told the outlet. "What angered him and made him furious was discovering that officials apparently knew something as significant as his son's return before he did."

The insider noted that, "after everything that has happened between them, Charles regarded that as extremely disappointing. This isn't some routine visit lasting a couple of days – Harry is bringing his wife and children back to Britain."

Another insider emphasized the "frustration" Charles feels, given that he and Harry "had finally begun making some progress personally." The source added, "The King wants a relationship with his son and particularly wants opportunities to see his grandchildren. Against that background, finding himself further down the information chain than the Home Office was never going to improve matters."

Charles' agitation comes shortly after senior royal sources revealed that the King would be even more furious if Harry and Meghan's UK return results in a documentary deal with the BBC. In a separate report from RadarOnline , the couple is now "exploring opportunities with British broadcasters" to expand their media portfolio, and a contract with the BBC is a possibility.

"The prospect of Harry and Meghan working with the BBC would inevitably cause anxiety at the Palace," one source explained. "Charles has been trying to rebuild his relationship with his son privately, and the last thing he wants is another television project generating headlines about the Royal Family. If it became another vehicle for discussing private royal matters, he would be furious."

A palace insider said, "The BBC carries a significance that another streaming service simply doesn't. It is Britain's national broadcaster and has a longstanding relationship with the monarchy. Seeing Harry and Meghan potentially earning substantial money from it would be difficult enough – seeing them discuss royal business would be another matter entirely."

Harry and Meghan's productions have mostly struggled to gain attention, but according to a senior UK television source, "Being back in Britain completely changes the landscape for Harry and Meghan. They don't need another gigantic Netflix-style agreement. They can potentially make individual programs with the BBC or commercial broadcasters and retain much greater freedom over what they produce."
