Brooke Hogan says mom Linda is ‘publicly rewriting history’ by denying dad Hulk Hogan’s affair with her friend

Brooke Hogan told her mom, Linda Hogan, to "stop here" after the latter denied reports that her late ex-husband, Hulk Hogan, slept with Brooke's friend.

Linda wrote, "I was there and no he didn't," under a social media post about Hulk's affair with Christiane Plante, Brooke's ex-BFF.

In an effort to refute her mom's claims, Brooke shared an excerpt from Linda's 2011 memoir discussing Hulk and Christiane's relationship.

After Brooke revealed that her relationship to her late father was never "quite the same way again" after he reportedly slept with her best friend Christiane Plante, Linda Hogan commented under E! News ' social media post about the alleged tryst.

"I was there and no he didn't," Linda wrote.

Responding to her mother in a new interview, Brooke urged Linda to "stop here," as various accounts of the affair were well-documented.

"I have no interest in arguing, and I also have no interest in continuing to absorb attacks quietly," the 38-year-old told Us Weekly on Friday. "The truth is documented. I'd strongly suggest she quit while she's behind."

Entertainment Weekly reached out to Linda for comment. While she expressed love for her mom, Brooke criticized Linda for attempting to change the narrative.

"I genuinely hope she finds whatever help and healing she needs," she said. "She's my mom, and I love her. But loving someone doesn't mean allowing them to keep bullying you, publicly rewriting history or provoking you and expecting you to stay silent."

On her Instagram Story on Friday, Brooke also shared a screenshot of Linda's 2011 memoir, Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes. In the book, Linda recounted her experience discovering Hulk's relationship with Christiane. Highlighting a passage from the memoir, Brooke emphasized that she and her mom had discussed the issue in the past.

"When Brooke told me about Terry's affair with Christiane, it felt good to hear Brooke say that my suspicions were right all along," Linda wrote, referencing Hulk's real name, Terry Bollea. "She told me that she felt bad for me. Having Brooke understand my position gave me extra confirmation that I had made the right decision."

Linda and Hulk finalized their divorce in 2009, after 24 years of marriage. His affair with Christiane was made public in 2008, when the young woman opened up to the National Enquirer about her relationship with the wrestler.

"My relationship with Terry began at a time when Terry and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending... She had left him already, although no official papers had been filed," Christiane said, according to Today .

Although Brooke forgave her father for the affair, she admitted that it permanently altered their relationship.

"I forgive people very easily — sometimes probably too easily — and I forgave him, but something between us changed afterward," she told Us Weekly on Thursday. "I don't think he ever related to me in quite the same way again."
