In an era driven by constant hustle and moving goals, BTS’s RM talked about a timely reality check on how we measure peace of mind. Today’s quote from the beloved musician is all about understanding and directly challenging the belief that happiness requires a final stamp of achievement. Instead, he highlighted the power of reframing our current circumstances and changing the perspective of how we live life. The quote of the day from the BTS leader reads, "Happiness is not something that you have to achieve. You can still be happy during the process of achieving something. So if you change your perspective a little bit, I know many people are going through tough times right now, but this moment could be the most beautiful moment of our lives.”What does the quote mean?Today’s quote from RM, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, is from his speech during the BTS 2015 ‘HYYH (The Most Beautiful Moment in Life) On Stage’ concert series, which was held from November 27–29, 2015, at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.RM’s quote directly talks about how modern society views success, self-worth, and emotional fulfillment. His speech is about our changing our perspective and taking a different approach to living in the present rather than postponing happiness for a future milestone. While most people view happiness as something that can only be awarded at the end of a long journey. The situation can be different; after graduating, securing a promotion, or achieving financial stability, however, the motive stays the same. RM points out that treated this way, happiness becomes a target rather than something that you feel and enjoy in the moment. When one goal is reached, another takes its place, keeping true fulfillment perpetually out of reach.Youth and personal growth are mostly full of uncertainty, failure, and self-doubt. Along with that, society also often frames these difficult phases as obstacles that delay happiness. RM argues that the process of working through hardship is itself meaningful because the resilience and knowledge gained while striving for a goal contributes directly to personal character. Experiencing solidarity, effort, and growth during tough times holds intrinsic beauty, regardless of the final result.By sharing this insight, RM offered a comforting reminder to people about how you do not need to wait until you "make it" to deserve peace, joy, and self-acceptance.About RM’s early lifeKim Namjoon (RM) was born on September 12, 1994, in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea, and spent his childhood in the Ilsan District of Goyang, where his family relocated when he was around four years old.
