It's been a big week for surprise celebrity babies

What do Millie Bobby Brown, Lady Gaga and Lena Dunham all have in common? They've recently welcomed babies into their families.

The Stranger Things star is the latest to expand her family, reportedly welcoming a second child via adoption with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, according to People . While neither Brown nor Bongiovi has announced the news, the 22-year-old actress appeared to hint at her growing family in an Instagram post earlier this month.

Brown shared a video in which she's seen carrying her daughter, while Bongiovi walks beside her with a baby carrier strapped to his chest. The family was shown strolling alongside alpacas in Italy's Dolomites mountain range.

The news comes a year after the couple welcomed their first daughter together , also through adoption. Brown and Bongiovi announced their decision to "embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy" in August 2025. In an interview with British Vogue 's December 2025 issue, Brown opened up about motherhood and explained why she and Bongiovi won't speak publicly about their daughter without her consent .

"For me, it's really important to protect her and her story until she's old enough to potentially one day share it herself," she said. "It's not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly. If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that's something we'd support. But right now, as she's so little … it's our job to protect her from that."

Lena Dunham welcomes baby girl via surrogacy

Brown isn't the only star celebrating a new arrival. In an essay published by Vogue on Wednesday, Lena Dunham announced that she and her husband, Luis Felber, have welcomed their first child, a daughter, via a surrogate. The Girls creator touched on several topics in her heartfelt essay about her journey to motherhood, writing about the first time she met her surrogate, the woes of shopping for baby clothes, the cognitive dissonance she felt over not carrying her daughter herself and the anxiety that comes with being a first-time mom.

"Even my own desire, my own long-standing and no-longer-patient readiness, hadn't prepared me," Dunham wrote. "But she was preparing herself, inside our surrogate's strong and healthy body, and as the clothes stacked up in the box, so did some sense that she was becoming real. These would be her clothes. She would be a person that we helped to dress, who made an impression on the world based on our choices, until she was old enough to do it herself."

Dunham has spoken candidly about undergoing a hysterectomy to treat debilitating pain caused by endometriosis . The Famesick author embarked on a long fertility journey with Felber, which included unsuccessful attempts at in vitro fertilization, before turning to surrogacy.

While Dunham never outright confirmed that she and Felber, whom she married in 2021, were pursuing surrogacy, she hinted at their plans of having children in a 2025 interview with the Times .

"I will say we're in the process of expanding our family in new ways," Dunham said. "I want to safely meet our children and then figure out how to talk about it."

Lady Gaga's daughter's name revealed as Rose Bean

Lady Gaga is reportedly a new mom, too. On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, welcomed a baby girl on June 9 in Los Angeles. Gaga and Polansky first made headlines last week after reports circulated that they'd become first-time parents.

While the Abracadabra pop star hasn't disclosed the inspiration behind her baby girl's name, Rose is reportedly inspired by the track, "La Vie en Rose," which Gaga notably covered in her 2018 film A Star Is Born , per People . Gaga also has a tattoo along her back with the phrase, "la vie en rose," in handwriting. The outlet also noted that Rose's middle name, Bean, may have been in honor of Carl Bean, an activist who inspired Gaga's famed track, "Born This Way."
