Lori Loughlin files for divorce from Mossimo Giannulli after nearly 30 years

Lori Loughlin has filed for divorce from husband Mossimo Giannulli after almost 30 years of marriage, court documents show. The filing last week by the “Full House” star comes about a year after the couple separated, with the separation date on the documents listed as Aug. 31, 2025. Court documents show the reason for divorce is “irreconcilable differences” and indicate the couple has a prenuptial agreement. Details of the prenup were not available. Loughlin and Giannulli married in 1997. They share two children — Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli. Their marriage came under intense public scrutiny in recent years thanks to their joint involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal. The scam, investigated by the FBI under the codename “Varsity Blues,” focused on getting students admitted to elite universities as recruited athletes, regardless of their athletic abilities, and helping potential students cheat on their college exams. Loughlin and Giannulli admitted to paying $500,000 to the scheme’s ringleaders, Rick Singer and Key Worldwide Foundation, to falsely designate their daughters as recruits to the University of Southern California crew team, even though neither girl was a rower. Loughlin served two months in federal prison, and was also ordered to pay a fine of $150,000 and complete 100 hours of community service once she was released. Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison, 250 hours of community service and a fine of $250,000. Loughlin is best known for her role as Aunt Becky on the hit ABC sitcom “Full House” and its Netflix revival, “Fuller House.” She’s also appeared in multiple television movies and series, including recurring roles on “Summerland” and “When Calls the Heart.” Giannulli is a designer who founded the fashion brand Mossimo in 1986.
