Wahlburgers is saying goodbye to Boston — for now.
The burger chain, owned by Mark Wahlberg and his brothers, Donnie Wahlberg and Paul Wahlberg , has closed nearly 80 locations since 2025 , USA Today reported, with its final standalone store closing in the company's home state: Massachusetts.
The burger chain took to Instagram on October 30 , announcing the closure of its last standalone store in Fenway Park in Boston, penning a hopeful message as Wahlburgers seeks a new home elsewhere in the city.
"Thank you, Fenway. 💚 After 11 years in the neighborhood, our Fenway location will close on October 31 as our lease comes to an end. We're grateful to everyone who joined us for game days, celebrations and everyday moments over the years. We're actively pursuing a new home in the Boston area and hope to have more to share soon," the post read, giving customers just one day's notice – similar to the announcement they made when closing their first-ever Massachusetts store .
But despite the Fenway closure, it's not the end for Wahlburgers. The company highlighted its 2026 wins and shared its plans for growth in the new year, despite seeing major closures across its worldwide restaurants.
"In 2026, we've added 10 new outlets to our portfolio and expanded partnerships across hospitality, retail and travel," the post continued. "And we're just getting started."
2027 will see Wahlburgers open in several new locations , the restaurant noted, including the Oakland Athletics' future Las Vegas stadium, The Orleans Hotel & Casino, Bass Pro Shops in California and Colorado, additional food stalls in various Home Depot locations and restaurants in Puerto Rico.
"Thank you for being part of our story, Fenway. We hope to see you before October 31, and we're excited for everything ahead," the post concluded.
As In Touch previously reported , the announcement came just one month after the original location of Wahlburgers said goodbye to loyal patrons.
The company's official Facebook page shared a message on September 29, announcing its sudden closure, revealing that the Hingham, Massachusetts, food joint would be shutting its doors the following day.
"Thank you for the memories," the statement began. "After nearly 15 years, our lease at the Hingham Shipyard is coming to an end and will close on Sept. 30."
"As the original Wahlburgers location, Hingham will always hold a special place in our story," the statement continued. "While this location is closing, we're actively looking for a new home in the Boston area and hope to have more to share soon."
Two other Boston locations of the Wahlburgers chain have shut down amid company closures over the last few years, NBC10 Boston reported , including its South Bay store in Dorchester and its MarketStreet location in Lynnfield.
