Kolkata team unveils fan mural at Rash Behari Avenue, celebrating city’s first love

The Kolkata team has unveiled a striking new mural at Rash Behari Avenue, turning one of South Kolkata’s busiest stretches into a vivid celebration of its bond with fans. Inspired by the campaign “Prothom Bhalobasha” (first love), the mural places emotion at the centre of the team’s connection with the city. Executed in signature purple and gold tones, the artwork features stylised illustrations of players alongside the slogan “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo”, echoing the fighting spirit that resonates with supporters. At its core is the Bengali line “প্রথম ভালোবাসা” (Prothom Bhalobasha), reinforcing the idea of the team as a deeply personal, enduring attachment for fans. Blending contemporary street-art aesthetics with cultural cues, the mural captures not just team identity but also the pride and passion of Kolkata’s sporting culture. Strategically located on Rash Behari Avenue, the installation transforms a familiar public space into a landmark of fandom, inviting passersby to pause, engage and participate.
