Pippa Middleton's head-turning US Open fashion moment is her brightest look yet

Pippa Middleton, a huge tennis fan like her sister Kate, first went to Wimbledon at age eight and has always loved watching the sport.

The US Open tennis tournament is finally here, and tennis fans have arrived at the NYC venue - the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center- for the two-week Grand Slam.

Although she hasn't been pictured this year, the Princess of Wales' younger sister, Pippa Middleton , notably went to the sporting event back in 2012, wearing a delightful outfit for the occasion.

Turning heads to watch Andy Murray play that year, the brunette beauty turned to a home-grown, British label, Phase Eight, rocking a glorious, canary yellow design - one of the brightest we've seen her sport.

The stunning shift dress featured a striking lace overlay, complete with a gentle, body-skimming fit. The warm ensemble was bold yet classic and ensured Pippa could be seen in the stands.

Accessorising perfectly, she stood tall in a pair of Russell & Bromley wedges and carried a handbag by one of her sister's favourite brands, Kate Spade. Top marks.

She was joined at the match by Spencer Vegosen, then a 24-year-old Harvard graduate, whose father was president of the US Tennis Association. At the time of this throwback appearance, Pippa was almost 29 and had just launched her book: Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends.

Just like her sister Kate, Pippa has always been a huge tennis fan. The mother of three told Vanity Fair in 2013: "I first went to Wimbledon when I was eight years old and already a very keen tennis player."

Recalling the first time she went to the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, she further remarked: "During this first trip, I acted on my childish tennis dreams and bought myself a postcard of the women's championship trophy, on which I wrote, 'I will win this one day,' with my signature below."

In the same Vanity Fair interview, Pippa recounted a time when she and Kate queued for cut-price Wimbledon tickets, recalling when she queued "from five a.m on 'People's Sunday' in 2004 with my sister for three hours and getting £35 tickets on Centre Court; my first time ever," she noted.
