The Paradise’: Nani-Srikanth Odela’s ‘A’ certificate action thriller hit the big screens on September 24; here’s what to expect

Nani is gearing up for the one of the most anticipated films of his career as it is reported his biggest film and also the “most tiring” is his long career of 18 years. The film is set to release in theatres on September 24 after much delays and special screens locked in the evening a prior. There are many expectations from the film as it portrays Nani in a bigger, darker, and rawer character as Jadal reuniting with his ‘Dasara’ director Srikanth Odela.‘The Paradise’ has had a bumpy road to release, earlier it was set for a March 2026 release which later shifted to August. However, after much speculation that it will be further pushed the makers announced a September release. Additionally, the makers have also skipped a conventional trailer release of the film as they were focused on enhancing the final product and other post-production work.No trailer for‘The Paradise’Although they haven’t released the trailer, the other promotional material including the teasers, posters and songs have already created huge buzz and anticipation for the film. Even though the film has received an ‘A’ certificate for its raw and violence content which is considered to cut the family going audience, the early bookings have shown promising numbers.Nani’s transformation as JadalFurther talking about the film, the makers created multiple big sets to capture the slums of the 1980s from Secunderabad where the story is primarily set. Nani has gone under a never seen before transformation for his look as Jadal with the Srikanth Odela at the director’s seat, expectations are that the viewers will get to see a much sharper and stronger film than ‘Dasara’.Nani’s look includes two thick braids, nose piercings, a bindi, and a beefed-up frame that make him nearly unrecognizable.A story about identity and leadershipThe story of the film is set to show a marginalized tribal community who is stripped of its rights and denied citizenship under a deeply entrenched feudal system. Nani's character Jadal is expected to be seen as a leader who unites his people and leads their fight for recognition. Standing in his way are the feudal lord Shikanja Malik played by Mohan Babu and his ruthless son Vikram Malik played by ‘Kill’ and ‘Bads of Bollywood’ fame Raghav Juyal, locked in a brutal struggle for control over the land called Paradise.Sonali Kulkarni on the mother-son storyInside this conflict, has an emotional core of a mother-son story. Sonali Kulkarni who plays Nani’s mother as Sammakka in the film will be also playing an important role. While speaking with Mid-day, she talked about playing Sammakka and the reason behind the conflict in the film. “Here in The Paradise, I had to understand where we are living, what this fight is all about and what I am thinking as a woman,” she said.The film also features Kayadu Lohar will be seen playing the female lead playing the character Subbalakshmi affectionately called Subbu.Anirudh Ravichander’s music in ‘The Paradise’Musically, with Anirudh Ravichander as the composer, it has been a cultural moment of its own. The intro anthem ‘Aaya Sher’ received huge acclaim. The second single, ‘Yeshanagula,’ brings back ‘Dasara’ co-star Keerthy Suresh while third song ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ is a romantic number featuring the leads.Special show and ticket price detailsA few days ago, a notice issued by Telangana Home Department permitted a special show on September 23 at 6:30 PM, with tickets priced at Rs 500 including GST. Meanwhile, from September 24 to 27, single-screen theatres can charge an additional Rs 48, including GST, while multiplexes and special theatres can charge an additional Rs 95.
