Miley Cyrus shared a sweet story about Dolly Parton before performing "Jolene" during night 2 of her Hollywood Bowl show.

The singer, 33, returned to the venue for her second performance on Sunday, Oct. 18, with MODEL/ACTRIZ joining her as the special guest for both dates.

The concert comes as Miley enters a new chapter of her career with her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades , which was released on Sept. 18.

Before performing "Jolene" in honor of Parton who died on Aug. 25 at 80 , Cyrus recalled having a supernatural experience with her late godmother.

"I actually have a Dolly mannequin in my bedroom. She gave it to me for Christmas, and it's dressed like her, it's built like her, and when I was by myself I actually took my phone and I played 'Jolene' for her on video just holding it up to the mannequin and lit a candle," she recalled.

Miley continued, "And I put a flower down for her, and I said 'Dolly, if you're here right now, flicker the lights,' and I didn't say anything out loud, but the entire hallway started flickering."

The "Let's Get Married" performer said that her fiancé Maxx Morando could vouch for the experience.

"He was there, but he didn't know what I said. But I know [Dolly's] here with me tonight, and I'm feeling some of the feelings that I'm most afraid of, but having her here with me is getting me through and having you here with me is getting me through," said Miley.

She added, "So no matter what it takes, this show is for you. And for Dolly."

Miley was also crying as she held a framed picture of Dolly and encouraged the audience to sing along to "Used to Be Young." "Let my Aunt Dolly hear you," she told the crowd.

During the Friday, Oct. 16 show at the Hollywood Bowl, Miley also paid tribute to the country legend with an emotional performance of "Jolene" after crying on stage.

The "Walk of Fame" artist also addressed criticism of Friday's concert, before singing "Something Beautiful."

"I pride myself on being soft and strong at the same time," Miley began. "That's something I love about me is that I can be vulnerable. I have never heard that I don't put my heart into something."

She then addressed a fan sharing commentary "to get clickbait on their video" about her Oct. 16 performance.

"I'm a lot of things, and we're not even going to entertain that because you all have been with me long enough to know that any time I'm doing something meaningful that's going to be a stepping stone in my life, in my career, to propel me forward to not only be the artist, but the person that I want to be," said Miley.

She recalled how she "used to live my life pretty hard because life's hard so I thought that I had to get hard."

"But you know I didn't enjoy my life as much when I was living hard," she added. "I love pouring myself into something, and I'll be honest, what I said, don't mince the words, because it is hard for me to stand up here and do this show. It does not come as natural as it once did to me before."

Miley noted that it's because "we change, we evolve, we grow."

"You all are more to me than an experiment," she told the fans. "That is absolutely not what this is. This is not an experiment of you, this is an experience for me. And you all make the experience possible."

Miley then said that before she performed "Orbit" that night, she "had already told myself I wasn't going to come on stage."

"I was going to run away, but never would I leave you all sitting in these seats unfulfilled from a show, so I can take a lot but one thing I will not stand is any question about where my heart is when I'm on this stage. Not one," she said.

Added Miley, "I'm fully present; every bit of our fears, they live in the future, and I have no business even questioning that right now because the only thing that I have is this moment with all of you.

"To make it clear, I am all here with you right now. Nowhere else I'd rather be," she concluded.

During the encore, Miley and Morando, 27, walked out hand in hand before performing "Let's Get Married."

Closing out the night, the Hannah Montana star changed one line of the lyrics from "Flowers" to say, "Sorry to cry but then remember I sold out the Hollywood Bowl twice"

Beyond the performances, the Hollywood Bowl shows mark another milestone in Cyrus' evolving relationship with her music and public persona. With Bass Persuades , she is also embracing a simpler approach to her name, releasing the project under just Miley .

Billy Ray Cyrus also celebrated his daughter's new chapter. Following Miley's album announcement, the country singer, 65, shared a throwback photo of himself with Miley and her younger brother, Braison Cyrus , and praised her decision to go by just her first name, likening the move to other music legends.

"I mentioned Dolly and Cher . Thinkin about it more and more … Elvis .. Prince …and so on," he wrote on Instagram . "It's a natural progression for an iconic superstar legend. And the legend continues ! Looking forward to the new album."

When Miley announced Bass Persuades , she also shared what the album's title and the project as a whole mean to her.

"Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong," she wrote on Instagram . "Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That's what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album. ❤️ Miley."
