There are Elon Musk bulls on Wall Street, and then there is billionaire investor Ron Baron.

Baron is the founder, chair, and CEO of Baron Capital and a longtime cheerleader of Tesla ( TSLA ), SpaceX ( SPCX ), and Musk. He has never been afraid to make bold calls on the valuations of Musk companies, and today is no exception to his long track record.

In a new interview that just dropped at Columbia Business School, Baron proclaimed that SpaceX could be worth up to $50 trillion in 10 years. Note that SpaceX's current market cap is $2.06 trillion, per Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace data.

Here is Baron's latest hot take on SpaceX: "In 10 years, I think it's going to be thousands of dollars a share. I think it'll be worth $20 trillion, $30 trillion, $50 trillion. Elon thinks I'm way low, and it's now $2 trillion. There are good fundamentals, and this is not pulling numbers out of the air. I think Starlink alone, in the next 10 years, is going to be worth somewhere around $14 trillion or $15 trillion, and it's still at the very early stages of that growth. And then the data centers in space—man, that's unbelievable. You can't build them on the planet anymore. How large that business is going to be—it's going to be a multiple of how big Starlink is going to be. We can talk about the fundamentals there later, but the idea is that I'm thinking we're going to make at least 20 or 30 times."
