AI companies just signed a White House accord, and tech folks can't get enough of the signatures

President Trump and the CEOs of the most powerful AI companies signed a set of voluntary safety standards at a lunch at the White House on Tuesday. This comes as calls mount for stricter control of AI.

"It's almost like a constitution, in a way," Trump said after the event of the new standards.

Alongside Trump were Tesla ( TSLA ) and SpaceX ( SPCX ) CEO Elon Musk, Meta ( META )'s Mark Zuckerberg, Anthropic's ( ANTH.PVT ) Dario Amodei, Nvidia's ( NVDA ) Jensen Huang, OpenAI's ( OPAI.PVT ) Greg Brockman, Google's ( GOOG ) Sundar Pichain, among other elite tech names.

You'd think the document itself would be the real story, given the recent Hugging Face debacle and Amodei's AI risk warnings (see video above).
