Good morning. Stocks were mixed on Monday as long-dated bonds remained elevated and Brent crude oil futures ( BZ=F ) stayed above $100 per barrel.
The 10-year Treasury ( ^TNX ) yield, used as a benchmark for mortgages and other loans, rose to 5.30%. Meanwhile, the 2-year Treasury hovered at 4.82%.
A softer-than-expected inflation print and a weak September jobs report released last week have raised expectations that the Federal Reserve will hold interest rates steady this month.
