President Trump is set to announce Wednesday that automatic enrollment is live for his signature Trump Accounts initiative , expanding access to the savings accounts for children across the country.
The White House says nearly 70 million accounts have already been created, with the majority opened via the automatic feature. Parents and guardians must claim the accounts before managing them or allowing contributions from family, friends and employers.
Kids born from January 2025 through December 2028 are eligible for a one-time $1,000 contribution from the Treasury Department into the accounts.
Trump will be joined by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, IRS chief executive Frank Bisignano, Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell and others.
The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.
