NACOF reports Rs 2,456 crore revenue, declares 12% dividend, plans international expansion

NEW DELHI: The National Federation of Farmers' Procurement, Processing & Retailing Cooperatives of India Ltd (NACOF) reported a revenue of Rs 2,456 crore and a net profit of Rs 14.89 crore for the financial year 2025-26 at its annual general meeting (AGM) on Saturday.The federation also declared a 12 per cent dividend for its member societies. NACOF said it had operated without government funding and continued to comply with the standards and regulatory requirements of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) and other regulatory bodies.The AGM was attended by cooperative sector representatives, policymakers, former bureaucrats and political representatives, including NACOF Vice Chairperson Ranjeet Singh, former Tamil Nadu chief secretary Rajiv Ranjan, retired IAS officer and former Director General of the National Productivity Council Sundeep Nayak, former Jharkhand chief secretary Rajbala Verma and former NAFED managing director SK Chadha.NCUI Director and former Sahakar Bharati president D.N. Thakur, Dataganj MLA Rajeev Kumar Singh, Mirzapur MLA Rinky Koal, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP from Shirdi Bhau Saheb Rajaram Wakchaure, IFFCO Vice President Balvir Singh and NCUI Director Sunil Khatri were also present.NACOF plans international cooperative partnershipsNACOF said it is exploring partnerships with cooperative systems and farming organisations in Bangladesh, Iran, Russia and Chile, along with opportunities in Dubai and other international markets.The federation said it plans to use its cooperative network to establish business relationships and create opportunities for Indian cooperatives overseas. It has also invited member cooperatives across the country to identify new domestic business opportunities and explore expansion into international markets.A NACOF spokesperson said the federation's financial performance showed that a cooperative federation could operate independently and remain profitable without relying on government funds.Federation seeks action-oriented partnershipsNACOF said it would focus on turning cooperative agreements into actual business activity, rather than limiting partnerships to agreements and proposals.The federation said it was looking for individuals and member institutions that could implement business ideas and projects. Member cooperatives interested in joint ventures, expanding retail or procurement operations, or developing new value-chain connections have been invited to approach the NACOF head office.NACOF is a multi-state cooperative society registered under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India.
