How much does WorldTrips travel insurance cost?

To get these costs, we compared travel insurance quotes on the WorldTrips website, using generic information during the quote process. For the Atlas Journey plans, we entered information for a 35-year-old traveler from Iowa with a domestic two-week travel itinerary and a total trip cost of $5,000.

For the Atlas Travel and Atlas Premium international medical plans, we used the same age and home location but set the travel destination to the U.K. for two weeks. We also chose no deductible and at least $500,000 of total coverage.

For the Atlas MultiTrip policy, you can choose between two coverage options:

Option A: Covers trips of 30 days or less.

Option B: Covers trips of 45 days or less.

We chose Option B, which is slightly more expensive but offers more flexibility in travel planning.

Overall, if you consider that travel insurance typically costs between 4% to 10% of your total trip amount, these plan prices fall below that general benchmark. However, prices can vary by age, optional add-ons, coverage limits, overall trip expenses, and other factors.

How does WorldTrips compare to other travel insurance plan costs?

Travel Medical Excluding USA Basic: $35.81

Travel Medical Excluding USA Choice: $49.50

Travel Medical Annual Multi-Trip: $368.75

Worldwide Trip Protector Essential: $156

At a glance, WorldTrips travel insurance is similar in price to what's being offered by other insurance providers. However, this doesn't mean all coverage is the same; we suggest you compare policies in depth to find the right plan for your specific needs.
