Apple launches new MacBook Pro, iMac as it continues to refresh product lines

Apple ( AAPL ) debuted two new Macs on Tuesday as it continues to refresh its lineup of devices amid a flurry of announcements this fall.

The company showed off a new 14-inch MacBook Pro and an iMac , both with its M6 chips, which it launched in August.

Apple is targeting the MacBook Pro at everyone from college students to business users and creators, while the iMac is meant for families and small-business users.

Like all of the company's newest devices, both the MacBook Pro 14-inch and iMac get Apple Intelligence features, complete with Siri AI.

In addition to their improved processors, the MacBook Pro now gets upwards of 24 hours of battery life.

The Pro starts at $1,999 and goes on sale Nov. 6; the iMac will cost $1,499 and hit stores the same day.

Apple's Mac line of devices accounted for $33.7 billion of the company's $416.1 billion in 2025, making it the tech giant's fourth-largest segment by sales. Apple's iPhone brought in $209.5 billion, while services made up $109.1 billion.

The Macs come a day after Apple debuted its newest iPad mini, which received a larger, improved display and new processor. The company is expected to cap off its announcements on Wednesday with the launch of its first-ever touchscreen-equipped MacBook.

Apple has stepped up the cadence of product launches in the second half of the year, bringing out everything from new processors and desktops to AirPods, watches, and more.

The most ambitious device is the iPhone Duo , which is currently sold out in stores, with delivery times extending into late January.

On Monday, Apple responded to early reports of some Duo displays breaking along the hinge, saying that it is aware of the matter and urging users to contact Apple support for replacement devices.
