(NEXSTAR) – Nearly 30,000 baby bottle sterilizers sold nationwide by Target, Babylist and other major retailers are being recalled over the risk of burn injury, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

New Jersey-based Baby Brezza Enterprises LLC is recalling multiple models of its SuperFast Sterilizer Dryers after at least 32 instances of the dryer melting or overheating, the CPSC said in a news release Thursday.

The dryers are designed to sterilize bottles, pump parts and other accessories in ten minutes, but can overheat and potentially burn the user.

As of Thursday, no injuries had been reported, according to the CPSC.

Baby Brezza’s recall includes 29,000 units sold in the U.S. and another 4,500 in Canada (model numbers BRZ0083, BRZ0154 and BRZ0156).

The recalled baby bottle sterilizers were sold nationwide in TJ Maxx and Marshall’s stores between Jan. 2024 and Oct. 2026. The product, which retailed for between $160 and $180, was also sold online at babybrezza.com, target.com and babylist.com.

The CPSC advises anyone who bought one of the sterilizers to stop using it and contact Baby Brezza for a free replacement with no shipping fee. Consumers should do the following:

Unplug the product first, then cut the power cord

Send photos of the model number on the label and the return authorization form to recall@babybrezza.com

Dispose of the recalled sterilizer according to local laws

Consumers can call Baby Brezza with questions at 888-527-9824 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or email the company at recall@babybrezza.com .
