Gold and silver price prediction today: Gold and silver are likely to be in the negative territory over the next few days, says Abhilash Koikkara, Head - Forex & Commodities, Nuvama Professional Clients Group. Here’s his detailed outlook:MCX Gold Price OutlookMCX Gold is anticipated to witness a negative trading activity in the upcoming sessions, as the weekly price structure continues to drift lower, reinforcing a sideways to bearish momentum. Sellers having gained the market control, as the prices are expected to maintain their bearish trend as long as the current consolidation phase remains unbroken by a strong & definitive movement. We anticipate that prices will remain in negative territory, having recently tested the 145,000 support level in the near term, which remains an intermediate support zone. Beyond that, the level of 140,000 acts as a key support level to be tested for the coming week.On the upside, 149,000 is the key resistance level to breach, as it coincides with the 30-week exponential moving average & a sustained move above that level should negate the bearish bias and signal a continuation of the bullish move. If the price closes and stays above 150,000 on a daily close, it would imply that buyers have regained control and the bullish trajectory can be resumed. With momentum still being bearish, gold looks ready to extend its negative move throughout the upcoming sessions. As gold opened the week trading negatively, moving with a lower lows formation and moving through the previous week's low. Thus, implying that the price keeps the weekly trend angled toward more correction ahead.MCX Gold Trading StrategyCMP: Rs 145,900Target: Rs 139,000Stop Loss: Rs 148,500MCX Silver Price OutlookSilver's trend mirrors gold's trend closely, with the technical setup appearing quite bearish for the week. Momentum indicators are all supportive of the negative move and the near-term sentiment remains bearish. Currently prices are near to the support zone established by previous lows, and a substantial move from here would strongly reinforce the bearish perspective ahead.Prices have been holding steady near the 207,000 level, which is serving as a key support point. A break below this support should probably send prices toward the succeeding support levels at 200,000 & 195,000.On the other hand, 220,000 represents the key resistance for silver during the current week. If the price manages to close above this level, it should effectively cancel out the bearish trend. Until then, any upward price movement should be treated as a chance to sell. Currently, technicals and momentum are both pointing toward the correction continuing through the week ahead.MCX Silver Trading StrategyCMP: Rs 210,000Target: Rs 195,000Stop Loss: Rs 220,000(Disclaimer: Recommendations and views on the stock market, or any other asset classes or personal finance management tips given by experts and analysts are their own.
