BENGALURU: Digital lender Moneyview is set to enter the public market at a valuation lower than its last private funding round, reflecting a reset from the levels assigned to the company during the funding boom.The company’s price band of Rs 32-34 per share values it at about Rs 5,985 crore ($600 million) at the upper end. This is around 20% below the roughly Rs 7,500-crore valuation at which Moneyview last raised primary capital in 2022.The IPO will open for subscription on Sept 24 and close on Sept 28. At the top of the price band, Moneyview plans to raise about Rs 1,092 crore. This comprises a fresh issue of Rs 750 crore and an offer for sale of up to 10 crore shares worth about Rs 342 crore.Moneyview raised $75 million in 2022 at a post-money valuation of $900 million. The round was led by Apis Partners and included Tiger Global, Winter Capital and Evolvence.The company has also reduced the size of its public offering from what it proposed earlier. Its fresh issue has been cut by half from Rs 1,500 crore, while the OFS has been reduced from 13.6 crore shares to about 10 crore shares.Of the fresh proceeds, Rs 325 crore will be used to support lending under default-loss guarantee arrangements. Another Rs 250 crore will strengthen the capital base of Moneyview’s non-banking finance subsidiary, Whizdm Finance.Moneyview’s operating revenue rose 50% year-on-year to Rs 1,041 crore in the June quarter, while net profit increased 74% to Rs 67 crore. For 2025-26, revenue grew 43% to Rs 3,351 crore and net profit stood at Rs 243 crore, compared with Rs 240 crore a year earlier.Founded in 2014, Moneyview offers loans, insurance, credit cards, digital gold and payment services through its platform and financial partners.Get the latest Business News and Live updates.
