WWE Raw results, grades (Oct. 5): Roman Reigns exerts his control; Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch ends in double DQ

"WWE Raw" was in St. Louis at the Enterprise Center on this Monday, Oct. 5. The Money in the Bank go-home show was lackluster, to put it bluntly. But it at least gave us some clarity for Saturday's card, with a non-finish in the main event.Finalizing the inevitableEveryone and their dog knew we were getting a Stephanie Vaquer vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan triple-threat Women's World Championship match at some point. To get there, we apparently needed a unicorn-esque double DQ in Lynch and Morgan's No. 1 contender match tonight. All three will now collide at Money In the Bank.Plenty of silliness closed out what was expected to be a solid match. The finish ultimately rendered it all moot though, as Vaquer attacked Lynch and Morgan at the same time — after the usual Judgment Day shenanigans.I mean, seriously, this was an egregious usage of interference and referee stupidity. I'm talking Jessika Carr blatantly ignoring Raquel Rodriguez putting Morgan's foot on the ropes. Things of that nature. The Judgment Day get involved but @BeckyLynchWWE SURVIVES 😎 pic.twitter.com/sBuRGeN411— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 To make it all the funnier, Vaquer called out "Raw" general manager Adam Pearce after she ruined the match. He sauntered out from the back, seemingly confused, like he wasn't even watching his own show's main event — one that consisted of the millionth Judgment Day interference he's ignored for what feels like 20 years.Really, everything that happened tonight made Pearce look even worse than he already has throughout this saga. And the "Raw' GM wasn't done either. (More on that later.)A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH AT #MITB!?!? 🙌IT IS OFFICIAL!! @Steph_Vaquer pic.twitter.com/E9z3T4KY4P— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 Monday Night ReturnsIt must be highlighted that any time Roman Reigns isn't on back-to-back episodes of WWE TV, his subsequent appearance is advertised as a "return." That'd be OK if it didn't happen all the time — and if he did more than just talk for less than 20 minutes of a two-and-a-half-hour show. Tonight's "Raw" was a great example of the bait tactic WWE loves these days. The OTC is HERE and so is LA KNIGHT....YEAH!!! 🙌@WWERomanReigns pic.twitter.com/DzBEFVnWKZ— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 That said, Reigns' immediate interaction and promo battle with LA Knight was fantastic. They kept it purely verbal in the ring before their championship match on Saturday. I've completely lost all faith in Knight pulling off the win, so any upset will be even sweeter if he actually does it. (And he should.)But two things are facts: 1) Everything Knight said is true, and, 2) these two men have undeniable chemistry."You're a complainer" 🤯@WWERomanReigns is telling LA Knight OFF! pic.twitter.com/1LE5BmL1XK— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 "You're the most manufactured, corporate puppet, industry plant I've ever seen in my life." 😳@RealLAKnight will NOT back down from the OTC! pic.twitter.com/GS97kf22mO— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 The 946 problemThis angle has become the most "wrestling thing" ever. And if it's all just a roundabout way for WWE to casually sneak Solo Sikoa back into the Bloodline, they will have done that man a massive disservice, given how great he's been by himself or with Knight.SOLO IS BACK 🔥 pic.twitter.com/258Lb4rWKW— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 Reigns oddly wants nothing to do with any of this, and we'll dive into that more later this week in our Uncrowned Horsemen preview for Money in the Bank. But as for Pearce, as previously alluded to, he's allowing 946 to wrestle a match — aka come to work — next week after Jaida Parker literally attempted murder on Jacob Fatu last week. There's no justifying any of this, and WWE isn't trying, which is why it's hilariously just kind of "wrestling being wrestling." But man, is it funny to think about.Ain't NOBODY safe from the 946 😳 pic.twitter.com/1cWc39Awx2— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 👑 Uncrowned Gem of the Night 👑 Speaking of murder attempts, Paul Heyman wants Bronson Reed to end Oba Femi. Permanently. By squishing him. Squishing him with high-impact blows from his body mass at a voluminous rate — otherwise known as a "Tsunami" in wrestling terms.TSUNAMI 🌊@HeymanHustle pic.twitter.com/a9JuEnGTgz— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 This was just great, honestly. And mostly because it was refreshing to see Paul Heyman back doing promo work. The less we see of him, the more appearances like this remind us how great he is. It came after Oba Femi ran through The Vision following their loss tonight to Penta and Je'Von Evans. That's right. The World Tag Team Champions casually lost on a Monday night. I'm not even sure they mentioned the titles during the match.Nonetheless, all this Femi stalling can only last so long, which makes whatever happens this Saturday all the more intriguing. But as of right now, "The Ruler" is treading water and doing nothing of substance."I'm going to PUNISH you" 😲@Obaofwwe is READY for Bronson Reed at #MITB! pic.twitter.com/qKHhNDPxhe— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 OBA FEMI is HERE!! 👏@Obaofwwe pic.twitter.com/vFx7f39bqY— WWE (@WWE) October 6, 2026 I give this "Raw" a crown score of: 5/10 👑WWE Raw full card results and match grades:Women's World Championship No. 1 Contender match: Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan ends via double DQ — 👑 3.5/5 👑The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh) def.
