Formula 1 returns to the Western Hemisphere to begin a five-week tour of the Americas with this weekend's United States Grand Prix just outside of Austin, Texas.Sunday's race at Circuit of the Americas marks the 18th round of the F1 world championship, and 20-year-old points leader Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes enters with a slim chance to become the youngest champion in the history of the sport — whether global events cause the cancellation of later rounds or not.Antonelli holds a 102-point lead over Mercedes teammate George Russell and a 111-point lead over Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton. An Antonelli win coupled with Russell finishing ninth or lower and Hamilton fifth or worse would hand the Italian the championship. While both Mercedes (578 points) and Ferrari (444) have a firm grasp on Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, in the constructors race, the battle for third between McLaren (339) and a resurgent Red Bull (332) outfit is heating up with as many as six rounds to go.How to watch the United States Grand PrixAll times EasternFriday, Oct. 23 1:30-2:30 p.m.: Free practice 1 (Yahoo Sports, Apple TV+, F1 TV Pro) 5-6 p.m.: Free practice 2 (Yahoo Sports, Apple TV+, F1 TV Pro)Saturday, Oct. 24 1:30-2:30 p.m.: Free practice 3 (Yahoo Sports, Apple TV+, F1 TV Pro) 5-6 p.m.: Qualifying (Yahoo Sports, Apple TV+, F1 TV Pro)Sunday, Oct. 25 4-6 p.m.: United States Grand Prix (Apple TV+, F1 TV Pro)Kimi Antonelli starts from poleKimi Antonelli, Mercedes 1:34.035Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing +0.179Isack Hadjar, Red Bull Racing +0.215Charles Leclerc, Ferrari +0.232Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari +0.276George Russell, Mercedes +0.441Oscar Piastri, McLaren +0.768Lando Norris, McLaren +1.014Arvid Lindblad, Racing Bulls +2.014Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls n/aPierre Gasly, Alpine +1.045 (Q2)Nico Hülkenberg, Audi +1.123 (Q2)Gabriel Bortoleto, Audi +1.656 (Q2)Franco Colapinto, Alpine +1.687 (Q2)Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin +1.783 (Q2)Oliver Bearman, Haas +1.996 (Q2)Esteban Ocon, Haas +2.496 (Q1)Lance Stroll, Aston Martin +2.642 (Q1)Carlos Sainz, Williams +2.735 (Q1)Alex Albon, Williams +2.932 (Q1)Sergio Pérez, Cadillac +3.398 (Q1)Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac +3.488 (Q1)Ferrari fastest in all three practice sessionsFree practice 3 resultsLewis Hamilton, Ferrari 1:34.893Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing +0.168Charles Leclerc, Ferrari +0.234Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes +0.303George Russell, Mercedes +0.488Oscar Piastri, McLaren +0.638Nico Hülkenberg, Audi +0.698Lando Norris, McLaren +0.813Pierre Gasly, Alpine +1.011Isack Hadjar, Red Bull Racing +1.037Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls +1.038Arvid Lindblad, Racing Bulls +1.188Gabriel Bortoleto, Audi +1.283Oliver Bearman, Haas +1.342Franco Colapinto, Alpine +1.358Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin +1.562Esteban Ocon, Haas +1.849Carlos Sainz, Williams +2.961Alex Albon, Williams +3.402Lance Stroll, Aston Martin +3.465Sergio Pérez, Cadillac +3.905Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac +3.929Free practice 2 resultsCharles Leclerc, Ferrari 1:35.291Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes +0.042Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing +0.189Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari +0.615George Russell, Mercedes +0.744Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls +1.040Lando Norris, McLaren +1.082Oscar Piastri, McLaren +1.096Isack Hadjar, Red Bull Racing +1.120Oliver Bearman, Haas +1.245Gabriel Bortoleto, Audi +1.541Pierre Gasly, Alpine +1.549Arvid Lindblad, Racing Bulls +1.668Esteban Ocon, Haas +1.820Franco Colapinto, Alpine +1.910Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin +1.944Lance Stroll, Aston Martin +1.978Nico Hülkenberg, Audi +2.139Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac +3.131Carlos Sainz, Williams +3.155Sergio Pérez, Cadillac +3.745Alex Albon, Williams +8.135Free practice 1 resultsCharles Leclerc, Ferrari 1:36.052Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing +0.084Lando Norris, McLaren +0.245George Russell, Mercedes +0.326Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes +0.481Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari +0.503Oscar Piastri, McLaren +0.734Gabriel Bortoleto, Audi +0.943Arvid Lindblad, Racing Bulls +1.011Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls +1.257Oliver Bearman, Haas +1.613Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin +1.636Lance Stroll, Aston Martin +1.731Isack Hadjar, Red Bull Racing +1.738Pierre Gasly, Alpine +1.749Esteban Ocon, Haas +1.844Franco Colapinto, Alpine +2.069Nico Hülkenberg, Audi +2.070Carlos Sainz, Williams +2.794Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac +3.001Colton Herta, Cadillac +3.927Alex Albon, Williams +40.416United States Grand Prix detailsTrack: Circuit of the Americas, 3.452-mile, 20-turn permanent racing facility in Elroy, Texas Race length: 56 laps for 191 miles Lap record: Charles Leclerc, 1:36.369 (2019, Ferrari) Tire compounds: C2 (Hard), C3 (Medium), C4 (Soft)2025 winner: Max Verstappen, Red Bull-RBPTRed Bull's Max Verstappen is chasing his fifth win in the last six United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas.Mark Sutton -
