TwitchCon 2026: Building the Future 💜

After ten years of TwitchCon, we’ve seen a community-driven event grow into the largest live streaming creator gathering in the world. All of you who show up, year after year, are what make this event so special. Whether you’re road tripping in with friends or jumping on a plane, you’re the reason TwitchCon exists, and why it’s become the place where online communities go IRL.

As our creators continue to evolve and drive culture, TwitchCon continues to evolve with you. In 2026, we’ll celebrate our final year in Rotterdam before moving to a new place, while TwitchCon San Diego continues in the Gaslamp Quarter through 2028. TwitchCon Rotterdam tickets go live next week!

This year brings exciting returns and fresh experiences designed around what matters most: connection, content, and community. We’re prioritizing support for the moments that make TwitchCon special, like Unity Guild gatherings, MeetUps, interactive activities, and the beloved traditions you look forward to each year.

Behind the scenes, we’re making significant investments to ensure TwitchCon remains the one event you can’t miss:

IRL streaming is a big and exciting part of Twitch, and we’ve seen creators take this format to new heights. As is always the case when streaming or making content, showing consideration for those around you is important. At TwitchCon Rotterdam, we’re introducing a dedicated IRL policy to make this type of streaming more enjoyable for everyone, and to make our guardrails even clearer.

Streamers and attendees must keep pathways clear, including aisles, walkways, stairways, entrances, exits, and emergency routes;

Streaming isn’t allowed in areas with No Recording/No Streaming signage;

Attendees should follow TwitchCon Staff instructions, including requests to stop streaming or relocate;

We’re introducing lanyards that attendees can wear to signal their comfort with being on camera. If you’re wearing this lanyard, it means you prefer not to be prominently featured or recorded directly. For those IRL streaming, don’t interview or approach someone wearing the designated lanyard, or who verbally says they don’t want to be on camera.

If an attendee violates this policy, we may temporarily suspend their ability to stream for the duration of TwitchCon. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may extend that suspension, remove them from TwitchCon, and / or restrict their ability to attend TwitchCon in the future.

To create better experiences for both creators and fans, moving forward, every Meet & Greet will require a reservation, and walk ups won’t be allowed. This includes guests or plus ones accompanying an attendee. This change will allow us to manage capacity, and help create a more controlled environment for creators and participants alike.

Beyond reservations, we’re reworking the physical layout and flow of Meet & Greets to make the experience smoother, safer, and more comfortable for everyone. This includes additional dedicated staff onsite, better separation between lines and creators, improved crowd management and queue design, and clearer entry and exit paths. We’re also strengthening support for participating creators, with increased resources in the lead up to TwitchCon and during the event, including backstage, and clearer, updated escalation channels, so help is easy to access whenever it’s needed.

Security is a priority at TwitchCon, and we’ll continue to invest to ensure every attendee, creator, and staff member feels safe. In 2026, we’re building on this foundation with targeted updates. We’ve increased our overall investment in TwitchCon security, adding more trained staff, clearer escalation plans for better response times if an issue arose, and stronger coordination across all onsite teams. These improvements mean we can intervene sooner and more effectively in any situation that requires attention.
