Anderson vs McCallum: Live updates of Central Texas high school football

Anderson and McCallum meet in a district matchup Thursday at House Park for the first time since 2003.

Normally the game that kicks off the Central Texas high school football season in late August, the two were put in District 13-5A Division I in February's UIL realignment.

The contest has huge playoff implications with both being 2-2 in district play. The winner will take a big step toward postseason qualification, while the loser will need help from other results the rest of the campaign.

Anderson (4-2) is coming off a 42-7 loss to Boerne Champion, with McCallum (3-3) posting a 21-7 win over Lehman last week.
