One of the potentially landscape-changing Premium Live Events on the WWE calendar took place on Saturday night, with two superstars earning guaranteed championship matches and one title changing hands at WWE Money in the Bank 2026.The biggest draw of the night — the two titular Money in the Bank ladder matches — saw a repeat winner in Tiffany Stratton on the women's side, and Penta close out the night by earning his guaranteed title shot in the men's match. On the women's side, despite Stratton winning for the second time in her career, Sol Ruca, Lash Legend and Roxanne Perez looked very strong in the match. Stratton now heads to "SmackDown," where she can tease a cash-in on her on-screen friend, WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green. Bron Breakker was a standout performer and Je'Von Evans had arguably the most shocking spot of the night, as he went crashing from the top of a ladder through the roof of an ambulance parked ringside. Weeks after he put on a classic match with Roman Reigns in Mexico City, Penta's MITB win immediately makes him the biggest threat to the World Heavyweight Champion.PENTA IS MR. MONEY IN THE BANK!!! 💰@PENTAELZEROM pic.twitter.com/49HjqQeKzD— WWE (@WWE) October 11, 2026 Speaking of Reigns, he continued his streak of stellar matches in 2026 with a night-opening classic against LA Knight to retain his World Heavyweight Championship. In addition to being a thrilling match, Reigns once again won cleanly despite his ties to the Bloodline faction. After the match, there was a brawl between the Bloodline and 946 through the arena. Reigns has a looming champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel and the threat of Penta to deal with, but he could factor into a WarGames match as well next month.ROMAN'S REVENGE ☝️Roman Reigns RETAINS the World Title! @WWERomanReigns pic.twitter.com/BsgknPev4l— WWE (@WWE) October 10, 2026 The other championship match of the night saw Stephanie Vaquer defend her Women's World Championship against both Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. While the match suffered a bit from the placement on the card and Stratton — a "SmackDown" star — winning Money in the Bank earlier in the night, we did see a title change as Morgan pinned Vaquer to dethrone her for the second-time this year. Finally, in an intensely physical match, Oba Femi continued his upward trajectory by overcoming The Vision's interference to defeat Bronson Reed.Check out complete WWE Money in the Bank 2026 results, grades and analysis:Roman Reigns def. LA Knight in 26:51 to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.Grade: ABest spot: Knight's final near-fallThis BFT was somehow NOT enough!! 😨@RealLAKnight pic.twitter.com/kNU1mNeQ7h— WWE (@WWE) October 10, 2026 Analysis: Reigns adds another match to his stellar streak in 2026, winning cleanly over Knight to retain his World Heavyweight Championship. While the match itself was awesome and mostly clean, it's hard to ignore how over Knight was during the contest. If there was ever a time to crown Knight, it was probably Saturday. This was Knight's best match to date and he quite literally threw everything possible at Reigns. For Reigns, his next challenge will be in a Nov. 7 champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel, and then potentially some involvement in a WarGames match that looks increasingly inevitable between the Bloodline and 946. He'll also have to keep his head on a swivel, as Penta is the Money in the Bank briefcase-holder.For Knight, it's back to the drawing board. Losing cleanly is a major blow to his case to get another World Heavyweight Championship match anytime soon, and he feels too big for the Intercontinental Championship. Maybe we're going to see WWE play the long game with Knight and have him win the Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber and go after Reigns for a major WrestleMania moment, but there's also the reality that a world title run might never happen.Tiffany Stratton wins the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match in 15:17Grade: BBest spot: Sol Ruca and Tiffany Stratton's exchangeThe athleticism of @SolRucaWWE and @tiffstrattonwwe is UNMATCHED! 😤 pic.twitter.com/mZ9mtsSkY7— WWE (@WWE) October 10, 2026 Analysis: In the pre-show, Triple H said MITB is the kind of night you hold your breath for because of how dangerous these two ladder matches are. The women's contest illustrated just that, with a pair of ugly falls — one from Stratton, and a sequence involving Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne. The standout performers here were Ruca, Lash Legend and Roxanne Perez, with all three women showing off different skill sets and pulling off impressive moments throughout the match. After miraculously dodging a serious injury after an early fall, Stratton was solid and MITB is the kind of match where she can really shine. Ultimately, Jayne and Vice fell a bit short compared to the other four women. It's clear that Stratton winning is going to be an accelerant to get the WWE Women's Championship back on her and potentially having her hold onto it until Rhea Ripley is ready to return from injury. As good as Stratton is, there was a clear favorite among the crowd in Perez and there's undeniably a better story to be told within the Judgment Day. Even if it wasn't going to be Perez, there were fresher options available, and a MITB win could have gone a long way in establishing another major star on the women's roster.Oba Femi def. Bronson Reed in 11:34Grade: B+Best spot: Reed's moonsault (even though it missed)FALL FROM GRACE 🔥 @Obaofwwe DEFEATS Bronson Reed! pic.twitter.com/87bL0PuK84— WWE (@WWE) October 10, 2026 Analysis: Outside of his loss against Brock Lesnar earlier this year, this is the most challenged Femi has been since his call up to the main roster, which is a good thing. Breakker gave Femi a strong match last month and Reed seemingly pushed him to the brink on Saturday night. Reed looked phenomenal before, during and after the match. His body transformation really elevates everything about him.Unfortunately, The Vision is holding back every single member in it. Reed didn't need interference to be a legitimate threat to Femi — the first 10 minutes of the match proved that. Him using brass knuckles and losing doesn't do him any favors. Reed, Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri would all be better off on their own instead of in this stable that seemingly does little more than lose and cause DQ finishes.Femi, of course, looked as strong as he ever has in victory, and there's almost nothing that should stop him from going after Reigns and the World Heavyweight Championship.Liv Morgan def. Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in 16:55 to win the Women's World ChampionshipGrade: C+Best spot: Vaquer and Lynch's tandem submissions on MorganAnalysis: This outcome is considerably more confusing after WWE passed on having Roxanne Perez win Money in the Bank earlier in the night. There didn't need to be an immediate cash-in, but the opportunity to build tension and dramatically improve the Judgment Day story was right there.Outcome and future storytelling aside, this match never really got going, likely due to its placement on the card. Stratton almost certainly wasn't going to cash in on the "Raw" champion, so any MITB drama was snuffed out and the in-ring action wasn't enough to overcome a relatively dead crowd. All three women are talented, but this match just didn't click in the way it could have.Lynch wasn't pinned, so she theoretically could make a claim to challenge Morgan, and Vaquer made the honorable — if nonsensical in kayfabe — decision to defend her title in a triple-threat, so there's a path for her to get a rematch as well. With those two potential matchups, there's hope that Morgan can have a more action-filled reign than she did earlier in the year. Like Reigns, she will also have a champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel next month.Penta wins the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match in 31:55Grade: B+Best spot: Je'Von Evans crashing through the ambulanceJE'VON EVANS SENT THROUGH THE AMBULANCE 🚨OH MY GOD!! pic.twitter.com/yg22Mk6Mdv— WWE (@WWE) October 11, 2026 Analysis: WWE rarely has the MITB briefcases on the same brand, so it became increasingly likely that the winner here was going to be from "Raw" — and it was.Breakker shined throughout the entire match and seemed like an easier sell, so Penta winning here was somewhat of a surprise, but a welcome one nonetheless. After his match last month with Reigns, Penta showed he can hang with the best and earned this opportunity to call his shot against "The OTC" — or anyone else — over the next year.Evans, despite being the most inexperienced wrestler in the match, was one of the focal points and had the best spot when he went crashing through an ambulance roof. "The Young OG" has a very bright future and should be a lock to be a part of any ladder match moving forward. On the "SmackDown" side, Punk and Owens spent the majority of their time in the match battling each other and firmly remain in the main-event picture on the blue brand. Trick Williams was a relative afterthought, but as United States Champion his path is clear as he holds down the mid-card on Friday nights.Ultimately this match was filled with a ton of action and featured a payoff that was equal parts surprising and fulfilling. For complete coverage of WWE Money in the Bank 2026, follow along with Uncrowned's live blog below:
