First, All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers underwent meniscus trim surgery and will reportedly miss 1-2 games. They will, however, have running back Ashton Jeanty after he said he feels "really good" after suffering an ankle injury during an Aug. 23 practice.Malik Nabers didn't say whether he was going to play Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, but was listed as questionable on Friday. The New York Giants wide receiver is returning from tearing his ACL last September. Head coach John Harbaugh was testy in response to questions about Nabers' Week 1 status, saying he wasn't going to answer."They're leaving that decision up to me," Nabers said. "It's my career, and it's my body. If a pitch count is in the conversation, then I would lead that conversation. That decision would be on me."Other notable Week 1 injuries to monitor:Patrick Mahomes is very much set to make his return from a torn left ACL and LCL during Week 15 last season. The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said this week there is a "very good chance" the two-time NFL MVP will start. The quarterback won't have left tackle Josh Simmons to protect his blind side, though. A back injury will force him out of Week 1, leaving the protection duties up to undrafted rookie Khalil Benson.Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is expected to play against the Los Angeles Chargers after suffering a left high ankle sprain in the team's preseason opener. Love said on Thursday it's up to head coach Mike LaFleur. "If they want to put me out there, I'm going to go out and play, whether my ankle feels 100%, 50%, 70%," Love said. "I just want to play football. I'll fight my hardest to be out there every game this season."It sounds like New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara will play against the Detroit Lions. The veteran, who is listed as questionable, has been limited in practice after suffering an MCL injury. He may not play a full workload as there is expected to be a timeshare with Travis Etienne. Here's the rest of the Week 1 injury report:(Players will be added as teams release their reports)ARIZONA CARDINALSRG Isaiah Adams (knee): OUTCB Garrett Williams (Achilles): OUTATLANTA FALCONSQB Michael Penix Jr. (knee): OUTCB Billy Bowman (Achilles): OUTQB Tua Tagovailoa (oblique): OUTOT Cameron Williams (ankle): OUTDE Za'Darius Smith (shoulder): questionableBALTIMORE RAVENSDL Nnamdi Madubuike (neck): OUTBUFFALO BILLS DL T.J.
