WWE Raw results, grades (Oct. 12): Carmelo Hayes joins 946 for brutal Bloodline beatdown

The latest "WWE Raw" followed up Money in the Bank with a big-time angle in the main event — and a noteworthy return.

"WWE Raw" was in Bossier City, Louisiana at the Brookshire Grocery Arena on this Monday, Oct. 12. After an eventful Money in the Bank 2026 went down in New Orleans, the red brand followed it up with a big-time angle in the main event — along with a noteworthy return. He's alive! No, unfortunately, this isn't an update on Jacob Fatu, who’s somewhat hilariously been a complete afterthought by the entire WWE since Jaida Parker's vehicular murder attempt.Instead, I'm referring to Carmelo Hayes, who is not only back on our screens, but he's on "Raw" and has joined the 946.CARMELO HAYES!!!! 😱😱😱 pic.twitter.com/nm02fTN6h1— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 A week or two ago, I thought about how ridiculous it was for Hayes to disappear (again) after his latest U.S. Title pursuits on "SmackDown." His alliance with The 946 is random on the surface, but it's extremely refreshing for him. Presumably, his poor booking and getting left in the dust will be used as his reasoning for wanting to prove a point and join this squad, which is fair — if that's the case. Either way, I can't complain, as he deserves a main-event-caliber spotlight after the great work he did pre-WrestleMania.Hayes is a unique addition to the trio of big men (plus Parker), since he's the smaller, high-flyer type, while still being jacked in his own right. Really, that makes him an awesome stylistic addition — and in their in-ring "Raw" debut, Bronco Nima and Lucian Price were excellent Monday night against The Usos and Solo Sikoa. These guys are being booked as seriously strong performers, and they delivered in every aspect tonight. It was a fantastic main-event match, even if it had its holes, ending via the expected shenanigans.JAIDA PARKER TAKES OUT THE USOS!!! pic.twitter.com/qhBnlVGPXh— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 We labeled the finish as a no-contest, but realistically, the match straight-up never ended. They could still be fighting it out off-camera for all we know. All jokes aside, Parker removed the referee from the ring to break up Sikoa's pin on Royce Keys, and another simply never showed up. You know, like they always do in WWE. There's no way to justify this other than all the other referees were scared backstage, along with WWE staff, as indicated by Adam Pearce's conversation with said ref earlier in the night.GM Adam Pearce is doing everything in his power to keep CONTROL over tonight's main event! 👀@ScrapDaddyAP pic.twitter.com/6Bc49F0RE9— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 That's pretty good logic. But it again highlights how absurd it is to book literal kayfabe criminals in a match after they attempted to murder someone two weeks ago. Like, we know that 946 do not play by the rules, so why do they even care about getting DQ'd? (Until they don’t, anyway.) Some of those aspects really worked for the match though, as it was essentially a tornado tag match to start, before everyone got in their corners.(Again, I don't know why any of them would have waited in the corners under these circumstances, but, hey, wrestling!)So, with all of that in mind, this was a great main event, but it feels unfair to give it a star rating. It realistically shouldn't even have been advertised as a match. Nonetheless, we'll probably see Fatu and Naomi return before Survivor Series: WarGames to set up the five-on-five match, while Roman Reigns chills back home, not giving a single care in the world about these gang wars his family has gotten tied up in.This group is SCARY!! WHO can stop 946?? 😳 pic.twitter.com/tDhDMst8rF— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 👑 Uncrowned Gem of the Night 👑Chad Gable is making a serious late push for Wrestler of the Year after delivering another flawless match with Rey Fenix tonight. Massive credit to Fenix, too, because he was exceptional. It wasn't a surprise, as we know what both men can do and have seen them go at it before, but this was next level. Every sequence was performed to perfection, and in the closing stretch, Fenix playing into his ankle damage off several ankle lock attempts was cinema. This was easily one of Gable's multiple Match of the Year candidates. It makes you wonder who could possibly be positioned to beat this guy when he looks so great in the ring like this.GABLE RETAINS!! 👏 @WWEGableThat was an INSTANT CLASSIC! pic.twitter.com/tWkrFhKuow— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 Champion vs. champion seasonThere's a lot wrong with the women's division as a collective unit right now. We won't get into every detail, but specifically, let's start with the upcoming Crown Jewel match on Nov. 7, which pits WWE’s two world champions against each other.WWE already announced it will be Reigns vs. Sami Zayn and Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green this year. The latter showed up on "Raw" tonight and cut a solid promo against The Judgment Day, leading to a match against Roxanne Perez."Dominik Mysterio's placeholder girlfriend" 🤯Shots FIRED by @ImChelseaGreen! pic.twitter.com/Rn58JwKn1Z— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 There was a time when I really loved the champion vs. champion matches, and they can still be incredibly cool, fun, you name it. But it would be nice if they meant something. And I mean anything. Give the winner more than a goofy single-match trophy. Let the champion have some type of advantage for their following title defense. Anything. I know champions hand out title shots on the regular these days, but there should be a clear reason to care about these matches beyond them being the wrestling version of an all-star game.As for Green vs. Perez, Green lost to typical Judgment Day shenanigans. All the nonsense aside, it's absurd for the Women's Champion to keep losing like this. But there’s still a way to make all this work beautifully … and I'm going to hold out hope.THE PRODIGY 👊@roxanne_wwe has PINNED the WWE Women's Champion! pic.twitter.com/7KRiYv7WVy— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 Fantasy Booking of the NightPerez losing her Money in the Bank match is a miss no matter how you slice it. But after her win tonight, she requested a title shot against Green. So, Perez dethrones Green, then we get the Judgment Day implosion and Perez vs. Morgan as champions? It might not work as well as a cash-in would, but it could be fun. And it works in a very roundabout way with Tiffany Stratton holding the women's briefcase. To avenge her friend (Green), Stratton cashes in on either Morgan or Perez to take the title and head into WrestleMania as champion — where she'll defend against the 2027 Royal Rumble winner, Green. That sounds a lot better to me than having Stratton rinse and repeat her last cash-in in the Nia Jax angle, which is where everyone's minds went once she won Saturday’s ladder match. But it’s important to note that Morgan casually slipped in a line about Stratton being injured, so monitor that for legitimacy after she took some horrific tumbles at MITB.Don't MESS with IYO! 🔥@Iyo_SkyWWE pic.twitter.com/rWA6jaqrmi— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 Big Cass — without the "C"This company couldn't care less about Big Cass, because he has become the biggest jobber in town. (Literally.)Even in 2026, losing to Rey Mysterio isn't necessarily something to be ashamed of. But it was the way he lost in this one, which was via Dragon Lee interference.A little assist from Dragon Lee leads to the WIN for @reymysterio over Big Cass!! 🙌 pic.twitter.com/ogHyFkxGDB— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 Cass took a 619 and was rolled up embarrassingly. That came after he completely no-sold a 619 to the back of the dome, which should probably be a more effective finisher than the normal move. We've simply already reached a point where Cass can't be taken seriously.Lost in the shuffleBron Breakker, Oba Femi, Penta and Je'Von all just kind of existed tonight. The opening segment saw Penta celebrate his briefcase win before Evans joined him — only to be broken in half by a Breakker Spear. That was that. It felt wildly directionless for all three, but at least Penta teased a surprise cash-in. Circling back to fantasy booking, ideally, Crown Jewel is the perfect opportunity for an extremely fun cash-in. Imagine Penta running to the ring to choose between a beaten-down Zayn or a victorious Reigns for a rematch of their Mexico City classic.BRON BREAKS THE YOUNG OG 😱This man really is an ANIMAL! @bronbreakkerwwe pic.twitter.com/kVVFcZAbju— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 Elsewhere on "Raw," Femi went face-to-face with Paul Heyman, essentially to tell him off after getting heaped with praise for his Bronson Reed win. This felt like a prime moment to see Breakker again, but we didn't. And there's zero telling what Femi will do next as WWE stalls him all the way until an April world title coronation."I am an Oba Femi guy" 🤌@Obaofwwe knows EXACTLY who he is! pic.twitter.com/uIiKwmLvAU— WWE (@WWE) October 13, 2026 I give this "Raw" a crown score of: 8/10 👑WWE Raw full card results and match grades:The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) and Solo Sikoa vs. The 946 (Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucian Price) ends in a no-contestIntercontinental Championship: Chad Gable (c) def.
