Round Rock vs Westlake game score: Live updates of Central Texas high school football

Westlake and Round Rock meet Thursday at Chaparral Stadium in the biggest high school football matchup in Central Texas so far this season.

It's the District 25-6A opener for Westlake (3-1), which is coming off a 49-6 win over Midland Lee in its final nondistrict contest. Round Rock (4-1) started its district slate last week with a 45-25 win over Stony Point. The Dragons arguably have the two best wins in the Austin area this year after beating Dripping Springs and Vandegrift.

The teams meet for the first time in a district contest since 1987.

Both programs are in the American-Statesman's top five power rankings for 6A, and the winner takes a giant step toward the district title. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

The all clear has been given and kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m.
