Audible unveiled its Standard Plan back in March 2026 and is the latest budget plan available for the service. Standard is essentially replacing Audible Plus, which is no longer available to new subscribers. Here's a quick breakdown of how it compares to the other plans and prices :
Get 3 Months of Audible Standard for $0.99/mo
The Audible Standard does usually include a 30-day free trial , but Amazon is currently offering a three months of the service for 99 cents right now as a better alternative to that. The Standard plan comes with one free Audible audiobook per month, which essentially gets you three credits to use on Audiobooks of your choice throughout the discounted trial period (though they aren't technically credits).
The Audible Standard plan is $8.99 per month and gives subscriber one credit per pay cycle to use on the Audiobook of their choice. Audible has the largest catalog of Audiobooks available, including some of the best book-to-audio adaptations available . You will also get unlimited access to a curated selection of Audible Originals and podcasts.
Audible Standard is $6 cheaper than the monthly Premium Plus subscription, which means it comes with less services. Most notably, Standard does not include access to the Plus Catalog. It's also worth noting that Premium Plus subscribers get to keep any of the audiobooks they use their credits on while Standard plan users will lose them as soon as they cancel .
