The massive Star Wars Legends: The Newspaper Omnibus hardcover collection is currently down to $97.93 on Amazon , saving you 22% off the sticker price of $125. The 1,096-page juggernaut collects every issue of the C3-PO-narrated short stories that were previously only found as daily newspaper comic strips. The cover art is an Al Williams piece from Star Wars: The Early Adventures.

This book was just released back at the end of July, so this is the first substantial discount the collection has received since then.

These comics were first published starting in 1994 with Star Wars: The Early Adventures, and issues #1-9 are available here, continuing the story from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope that introduced the world to the iconic galaxy in 1977. You'll also get Star Wars: Han Solo at Stars' End (1997) #1-3, Classic Star Wars (1990) #1-20, Star Wars: A New Hope (1994) #1-2, Star Wars: The Vandelheim Mission (1995) #1, and the classic Star Wars newspaper clips The Constancia Affair, The Kashyyyk Depths, and Planet of Kadril.

The stories are all penned by Russ Manning, Archie Goodwin, and Rick Hoberg, with art provided by Russ Manning, Rick Hoberg, Alfredo Alcala, Al Williamson, and Allen Nunis. This tome of a time capsule is larger than your average comics omnibus, so be sure to make plenty of space on your shelf to display the vibrant spine in all its glory.

There has been a lot of Star Wars content since the original films were released, but not everything is considered canon these days. Ever since Disney took over the rights to Star Wars back in 2012, pretty much everything that came before has been turned into Star Wars Legends. These "Legends" now exist outside of canon and take place in a universe where the sequel trilogy never actually happened.
