Below is a list of all Fairy Thoughts we have located to far. More will be added as we discover them!
This Fairy Thought is located on a rock slightly west of the entrance to Castle Town.
"This is it! The BEST idea I've EVER had! Nobody will EVER suspect I've hidden my ENTIRE fortune in this wooden box! Ha! I'm a GENIUS!"
Interpretation : there are some Rupees in the nearby wooden box.
This Fairy Thought is found on a wagon right by the entrance to Kakariko Village.
"I know what you're thinking! You're the only one here. Just you and some weeds, huh? Wrong! Take a closer look, and you'll find little ones skittering about!"
Interpretation : let's you know you can find Bugs by cutting down grass. If you cut down the grass nearby, tons of Bugs will appear.
This Fairy Thought is found on a tree slightly east of the Castle Town entrance.
"I did it! I finally made a purchase! The password turned out to be 'Sell somethin', will ya?' That was a surprise. Hard to believe 'Ya makin' money?' and 'Not too shabby!' didn't work..."
Interpretation : this is the password to buy from the Business Scrub in the nearby grotto. However, in the future he has already sold his wares. Visit him as Young Link after reading the password to buy a Piece of Heart for 100 Rupees.
This Fairy Thought can be found in an alcove on the eastern edge of Hyrule Field, just south of the entrance to Zora River.
"I love to make pretty rupee arrangements! Most especially when I put them floating inside of puddles or down inside holes in the ground..."
Interpretation : lets you know the Fairy has hidden some rupees nearby, check the nearby pool of water.
This Fairy Thought is found in a small alcove in the far northwest corner of Hyrule Field, west of the Castle Town entrance.
"Those big Peahats are darn scary. They put down roots and act like they own Hyrule Field! But I heard they're no different than other plants when it comes to fire! Lucky thing I learned that!"
Interpretation : lets you know that the Peahats are weak to Fire damage, like Din's Fire.
This Fairy Thought is found on the west side of the crumbling Lon Lon Ranch tower. You have to approach from outside the ranch to reach it.
"I just love the view of Hyrule Field from here. Day or night, it's gorgeous, isn't it? Wouldn't it be nifty if you could switch back and forth between them, over and over?"
Interpretation : play Sun's Song to receive a full heal from the Fairy.
This Fairy Thought is found on the wall of a crumbling structure east of the Castle Town entrance, near the bridge to Kakariko Village.
"I bet when somebody shakes a tree, and something falls out, they'll think it's a coincidence. But I put it there! I'm such a sneak."
Interpretation : this Fairy lets you know you can roll into trees to find items.
This Fairy Thought is found on the backside of a crumbling stone pillar on the far south side of Hyrule Field, close to Lake Hylia.
"Nobody should EVER, I mean NEVER EVER, point a stick in the direction of a butterfly! And they'd better NEVER point a stick at a butterfly and stand still while they're doing it!"
Interpretation : If you hold out a Deku Stick near a butterfly, it will land on the stick and be turned into a Fairy, which you can use to heal. Try on the butterfly in the vicinity of the Fairy Thought.
This Fairy Thought is found under one of the rocky structures slightly east and north of the entrance to Gerudo Valley. It is next to an empty treasure chest, and you must first be Adult Link to encounter it.
"You, in the pointy hat! Yes, I'm talking to YOU! Go ahead and take what's inside this treasure chest before somebody else snatches it up! That's right, I went and left the lock undone! I really hope it's you that gets their hands on the shiny, sparkling heart inside!
Interpretation : the Fairy left a treasure, but it is already gone. This is a hint letting you know to come back here as Young Link to get the Heart Piece before it is stolen.
This is a two part Fairy Thought sidequest. Find the first Fairy Thought down in a grotto on the southeast side of Hyrule Field, in the marshy area full of Peahats. You need a Bomb to blow up the grotto entrance and get inside.
Once inside you can read the Fairy Thought on the wall.
"I couldn't believe it when I saw a shiny, golden bug creature! I'd love to capture it, but... That thing on the wall is too scary! I wonder if there's anyone who could get rid of it for me?"
Interpretation : to progress this sidequest, you need to kill the Skulltula on the wall inside the grotto, then come back later as Adult Link.
Return as Adult Link and the Fairy Thought has been replaced with a new message.
"I did it! I diiid it! I caught that shiny, golden little critter! I dunno who got rid of that thing on the wall, but whoever you are, thanks a bunch!"
Interpretation : the Fairy captured a Gold Skulltula. Break the nearby wooden box to kill it.
This Fairy Thought is found on the back side of the large barn in Lon Lon Ranch
"That kid's song is nice to listen to, huh? I hear all the moo cows are horns over hooves for it!"
Interpretation : this seems to just be a hint letting you know Malon's song is important, leading you to go talk to her. It also lets you know to try playing it for the cows.
This Fairy Thought is found on a broken pillar near the Sun's Song pedestal.
"I forget how that song went. The one carved into the stone monument. I'd love to hear it again. If only to jog my memory."
This Fairy Thought is found on the smashed pieces of the gravestone, behind the staircase leading down into the royal tomb where we found Sun's Song.
"I ended up down in the depths of a tomb, and a terrifying monster showed up out of nowhere! I started to sing my glowing little heart out, and it stopped chasing me! Now, if only I could just remember the name of the song..."
Interpretation : this Fairy is letting you know that you can play Sun's Song to temporarily stun Redeads, like the ones in the royal tomb.
This Fairy Thought is found on the cliff's edge slightly south of the entrance to Goron City. It is near the grotto covered with a spinning leaf.
"On calm days, the leaves on the ground dance about in slow circles. But, when a storm kicks up? Wowee! They spin around so fast! It's so much fun to watch them go! I always think they might just fly away!"
Interpretation : long winded explanation to let you know playing Song of Storms will cause the spinning leaf to lift off and open the entrance to the grotto below.
This Fairy Thought is found on one of the cliff walls in Zora River. Make your way up the river until you jump across the broken bridge, then drop down to find it.
"I bet the twitchy one living in the dirt would be good friends with the skittish one under the rock, if they ever met!"
Interpretation : this is a hint letting you know that releasing a bottled bug into a dirt pile will cause the Gold Skulltula hiding inside to pop out. There is a bug under the nearby rock, and a dirt pile by the Magic Bean Seller.
This Fairy Thought is found on the southwest side of Lake Hylia, next to an alcove on the slim piece of land along the zone's edge.
"When it comes to the best sneaky spots for a game of hide-and-seek, you just can't beat someplace like this! At the very least, the other fairies shouldn't be able to break it open or toss it around!"
Interpretation : the Fairy is hiding in one of the nearby jars. You can find and bottle it.
This Fairy Thought is found on a wall within the Ice Cavern, in the same room as the Compass and a Gold Skulltula.
"I do love my fair share of snow and ice. But it's unreasonably cold in here! I'd give anything for a few warm moments in the sun."
This Fairy Thought is found on the right side of Forest Temple 3F, in the blue shifting room. It can only be examined after you have shifted the room and opened the gap in the floor.
"This room has such a nice and cozy feel. But it's also a little on the damp side... I wish there was a way to get some warm light in here to dry the place out nice and good."
This Fairy Thought is found on the southwest wall of the room with the Megaton Hammer in it, on the opposite wall from the chest.
"I just LOOOVE bright places! All the lava around here does a decent job of lighting up the place, but I wonder if there's any way to make things even brighter?"
This Fairy Thought is found on a cracked wall in B3 of the Shadow Temple. This is the same room with the giant spike crushers that fall from the ceiling.
"Windy places are such fun to visit. I love the feeling of the wind in my wings! Now that I think about it, the one thing this place could use is a big, strong blast of wind!"
Interpretation : play Song of Storms to receive a full heal from the Fairy.
