Treacherous Waters is a side quest in Enshrouded that instructs you to brew up a Diver’s Endurance Flask with the hopes of increasing your chances of survival in the Veilwater Basin. It’s a useful flask to have on you since it reduces the stamina cost for swimming, which you’ll spend an awful lot of time doing in the region. This side quest walkthrough will show you how to start the quest and how to assemble the ingredients you’ll need.

You can start Treacherous Waters after first rescuing the Fisher and completing Obtaining a Mill . At that point, you can speak to the Farmer about “Better Run Than Fight” and she’ll start you on this quest.

The main objective of Treacherous Waters is to brew up a Diver’s Endurance Flask, which requires ingredients you’ll typically find underwater in Veilwater Basin. Here’s the whole recipe along with some tips on how to find each thing:

Algae and Algae Buds x10: Both are harvested from underwater plants that appear around shorelines in Veilwater Basin.

Mother-Of-Pearl x10: Mined from underwater shell deposits, meaning you’ll first have to complete A Tool for Underwater Mining.

Pearl x1: Collected from the large red scallops you’ll find underwater in the Veilwater Basin. They’re scattered about and fairly rare, but Lake Heartblood is a good place to look.

Once you have the ingredients, take them to the Alchemist to make your first flask. Then, you can finish the quest at any point by simply drinking the potion. You’ll earn 200 XP from it and you’ll have a healthy buff that’ll help you get around Veilwater Basin.
