Heading into Game 3 of the NLCS, the Los Angeles Dodgers had everything to prove against the Milwaukee Brewers.

With the chance at the elusive three-peat on the line and a pair of losses already on the books from their time in Milwaukee, the Dodgers wanted to prove they still deserved the title of World Series favorite, but instead, they simply came up short, with errors on the field and in the dugout resulting in a brutal 6-2 loss to the Brewers.

After allowing a shocking home run on the very first pitch of the game, Blake Snell was a dominant force for Los Angeles, recording nine strikeouts through six innings. But after watching his team take the lead in the bottom of the sixth, going up 2-1 by playing Brewers-style baseball, disaster struck when Jake Bauers turned a double-digit pitch at-bat into a 3-2 lead, with Garrett Mitchell somehow smashing another bomb on the very next pitch after Dave Roberts somehow didn't go to his bullpen.

From there, the game largely went away from the Dodgers, almost by design. After Evan Phillips closed out the seventh with just one hit and Roki Sasaki took care of just one batter before being replaced by Justin Wrobleski in the eighth, who closed out the final 1.2 while giving up another run on an errant throw.

No Tanner Scott. No Edwin Diaz. Just a former starting pitcher who wasn't even on the NLDS roster after a tough end to the regular season.

Will the Dodgers be able to keep the series alive in Game 4? Maybe yes, maybe no, but down 3-0 with the potential go-home contest scheduled for Thursday at 5 PM PT, fans won't have to wait long to find out.
