Great Mines Think Alike Walkthrough - Hello Kitty Island Adventure Guide - IGN

In the Quest Chocolate Cheers , Pompompurin revealed that he found a "sweet rock" inside the Crystal Caves of Gemstone Mountain. One day later, you can begin the next Hello Kitty Island Adventure Quest , Great Mines Think Alike, and work with Chococat and Pompompurin to find the sweet rock again!

Talk to Chococat, who is thrilled to be investigating a new mystery. He suggests that you meet up with Pompompurin at his Dessert Boat in Gemstone Mountain, so head there.

Enter the Dessert Boat and talk to Pompompurin inside. He tells you that he is extremely motivated to find the sweet rock again, and is going to climb Gemstone Mountain to do so!

Meet Pompompurin at the closest entrance to the mines, north of the Oasis lake. When you talk to him there, he says that he can't remember exactly where he found the sweet rock, but there was a red crystal nearby.

Enter the Crystal Caves through the entrance behind Pompompurin. You will find yourself in a room filled with pink crystals - not the color you are looking for!

Walk straight along the wooden slatted path in front of you until you reach a glowing red door.

Go through it to find yourself in a room filled with red crystals. Keep walking straight, keeping the river on your left. About halfway through the room is a single red crystal on the ground with a blue exclamation point over it.

Interact with the crystal. There's no sweet rock, but Pompompurin remembers something else: water balloons in a green cave.

Continue walking straight through the red crystal room, keeping the river on your left. You will reach a glowing orange door - walk through it.

This room has orange crystals, so it's not the one you need. Continue following the wooden slatted path, which moves through the center of the room. You will cross two rivers as you go.

You will end up in the top right corner of the orange room, where you will find a glowing green door. Go through this door.

In the room with green crystals, the path splits into two. Follow the north pathway along the upper edge of the lake. Just past a glowing white door that leads outside, there are water balloons on the ground with a blue exclamation point over them.

Interact with the water balloons. The sweet rock isn't there, and Pompompurin doesn't get any memories back this time.

Head outside through the glowing white door. Pompompurin and Chococat are just outside. Talk to Pompompurin, who is disappointed. Then, talk to Chococat, who points out that a tunnel collapsed nearby and it has caused some strange objects to appear!

There are three pieces of Rock Candy on the ground to your left. Pick up all three, and then talk to Pompompurin. He confirms that these are the sweet rocks he found before, and he wants more!

Chococat says that it is possible to re-open the blocked tunnel entrance, but it will require a lot of work. Return to the Dessert Boat and talk to Chococat there. He brainstorms a list of materials you need for his plan.

Meet Chococat at the Crafting Table in Gemstone Mountain, located west of the Gemstone Town Fast Travel Mailbox and north of the large cluster of Visitor Cabins. Talk to him again to learn exactly what you need to collect:

Banana Ice Cream x 3 - made at the Dessert Boat using a total of 3 Cactus Creams and 3 Bananas

Ingot x 5 - 1 Ingot is crafted using 3 Iron, possible Gem Match or Crane Craze mini-game reward, given by Visitor Ookami

Mechanism x 10 - 1 Mechanism is crafted using 3 Gizmos, Chococat's return gift

Rubber x 4 - found around the Seaside Resort

Spark x 10 - 1 Spark is crafted using 3 Light Stones, Kuromi's return gift, given by Visitor Kabae

Woodblock x 3 - 1 Woodblock is crafted using 5 Sticks or 7 Coconuts, possible Crane Craze mini-game reward, given by Visitors Koroppi or George White

Gift the materials to Chococat. He tells you that Pompompurin is napping, so you will need to wait until the next day to try out his plan!
