After an immensely successful Kickstarter campaign , the first set of the Cyberpunk Trading Card game is now rolling out to stores and backers. But, like any other TCG out there, once one set releases, thoughts and eyes start looking towards what’s next and coinciding with the release of Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 today, the folks at WeirdCo are starting to peel back the digital curtain on what (and when) you and your crew can expect from the second set. Along with some sweet art reveals, exclusively here on IGN.

Launching in Spring 2027, Cyberpunk TCG – Edgerunners: Burn Bright, looks to feature and bring Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime into the world of trading card games. Specifics around the set itself, such as what products it will include or how many new cards it will add to the mix remains a mystery, with the team planning a host of card reveals and details in the coming months. That said, we do have some confirmations, and samples, of some of the artwork players will see on their new cards, including the likes of Maine and Falco from David’s crew in the anime!

Starting with Maine, the head of the crew that Edgerunner’s protagonist, David, would eventually join with, his artwork features his signature red shades, with the appropriate title of “Badass Shades”. Nothing about the specifics of the card have been shared just yet, but just by the name, I think it’s a safe guess that this will be a Gear card, a type of card that you can equip to a Unit or Legend to give them a sort of boost.

Sticking with someone with ties to Maine’s and David’s crews, the next piece of artwork we get to reveal for you chooms is “Falco Hang on Tight!”, complete with the getaway driver’s signature mustache. Again, no real information on what the card is or what it does, but put my eddies down on Legend.

The new, more anime-inspired artwork on these cards look striking and I’m eager to see more. With the new series launching, it will be curious to see just what the split will end up being between Edgerunners and Edgerunners 2 representation in the final set, and all the cards. Speaking of the cards, one additional bit of info WeirdCo has shared is that Burn Bright will feature an “all-new chase rarity” that will be revealed at a later date, adding to Cyberpunk TCG’s collector-friendly nature.

The full retail launch of the launch set, “Welcome to Night City” is set for November 6, 2026 with prerelease events scheduled for the weekend before.
